Forsaken Silence

Why have I forsaken silence?

Was it because of my actions?

Is it due to my fear of forgetting?

Am I really going to abandon it?

I have forsaken silence

For it is better to let the world

Know of what I've done to them

Of what we've done to them

He hasn't forsaken silence

Since he was aware of his actions

Despite his personal intentions

He is a monster and so am I

I'm glad to have forsaken silence

For the truth has been revealed

I accept any judgment against me

And the punishment with it all

I've forsaken silence…for good

And so I've written yet another Amnesia: The Dark Descent poem. This one's about what Daniel is thinking as he contemplates on revealing the secrets of Brennenburg to the world and how he feels when he does. It also briefly mentions his perspective of Alexander following the game's plot, which ties in with his feelings of relief when the truth is publicized.

Disclaimer: I don't own Amnesia: The Dark Descent; it's owned by Frictional Games.
