"Honoka, your not gonna win," Mello's oh-so-cocky-and-confident voice boomed as he locked eyes with the blonde haired girl infront of him. She crossed her arms and smirked smuggly.
"Have you ever had to endure the blistering winds of -70 degree weather hit your eyes at 50 miles per hour, Mihael?" she retorted, watching the boy snort, almost ready to burst into laughter.
"Oh, Hono, you have much to learn. When you had to live at Wammy's House and endure the kind of torture the older kids put you through, you can make it though anything. Honoka burst out laughing from Mello's comment, holding her ribs, trying not to close her eyes as she laughed, which would look odd to most people if they had no clue what was going on. She finally regained her posture after a few minutes of hysterical laughter. She took one last breath and then returned to her smugness from before.
"Mello-chan, from what I've seen of these "Wammy boys", you guys must of just had, like, chickish slap fights. Like, Matt for instance, is a total wimp. Once, I hit him in the arm and he got all freaked out," Honoka continued, "and then Near...is...the size of a small child. What damage could he do?" Mello glarred back into blue eyes, trying to keep eye contact.
"What about L?" Mello's last resort...he knew that L knew capoeira, wasn't that enough? He mentally begged that she would remember that bit of information. She looked up thoughtfully, then immediatly gave Mello a thumbs-down and made an audiable noise with her tongue, then giggled for a few moments. Mello stood up and raised his arms in the air.
"What?! I don't get it!!" Mello basically shouted at the girl who was still laughing, even while the younger boy's face turned red. Honoka stopped, wiping an imaginary tear from her eye, and put her hands on her thighs.
"Oh, Mello...stop...it's too funny!" she said between each outburst of laughter. Mello sighed and looked back into her eyes, watching the blue orbs turn from a light sea blue to a deep ocean aquamarine.
"Okay, so...how can I prove I'm not a wimp like the other guys?" Mello tapped his foot to add dramatic effect, but that barely did anything except to add an annoying noise to the moderatly quiet room. Honoka's blue eyes turned to a dark navy, as if to say that she was confused.
"Uh, Mello-channnn, you can't really prove that. You just...are a wimp. I mean, if you didn't look like a chick, and if you wer---" Mello had been slowly making his way towards the older girl, and before she could ever finish her sentence, Mello's lips had come crashing down on her own. She could barely blink, so confused now by the blonde's actions. Didn't Mello hate her? Did he find out about her feelings for him? Why was she so vunerable?! She closed her eyes, trying to relax, until Mello pulled away from Honoka, her Tiger-like ears popping out from the top of her head. Mello grinned, almost smirked, and put his fingers to her lips, noticing a barely-pink color on her cheeks.
"You lose," he whispered, before turning on his heel into the hallway, leaving Honoka to her thoughts and her fast-beating heart.
