Author's Note: This is just a small little fic and my very first one that I have ever written for Everwood. It may be short but hopefully you will all still like it. By the way, I try my hardest not to write such sad stories but sometimes it just happens. Please don't hurt me! I come in peace!
Warning: Character death.
She couldn't understand what was happening.
Her mind went to a blank.
"Amy? Amy?!"
Her dad was calling her but she had totally blanked out.
"Were you listening to me?"
"What?" she asked surprised returning back to reality.
"I asked you to hand over my bag."
She did as she was told before standing next to him.
With a struggle in her voice she asked, "Can I do anything?"
There was a long pause and her dad just turned to stare at her.
"What? What-I mean is he going to be okay?" she asked.
He looked at her in his eyes and said, "I'm sorry Amy but he didn't make it."
She needed to blink a few times to make sure that everything that was happening was real.
All she could do is stand there with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry," he said as she pressed towards him to cry.
After all, she was his daughter and he loved her very much.
He held onto her and cried himself. She had been through enough and needed him. She now needed his forgiveness. The world had collided on her when she was still too young.
Despite everything that had happened in the past and where they were now with the party scene. Just being there was the best that Doctor Abbott could do.
