The light of the full moon shone upon the blood that seeped through his claws as he licked it off, relishing the taste more than any other he had in a very long time. He cast a triumphant sneer upon the corpse of his latest kill. "I told ya they'd catch up wit' ya eventually, Cajun. Told ya ya couldn't run from 'em forever." This night had been so long in coming, but his victory was made even sweeter by the knowledge of the debt that was now owed to him.
He heard approaching footsteps and a scared, feminine voice calling out for LeBeau, snatched Gambit's cold body off of the ground, and threw it over his shoulder. "Can't have the girlie findin' ya. Ya just left 'em forever, an' ya won't be hurtin' her any more."
That was the deal, Sabertooth remembered with a wicked grin, that would land him the sweetest piece of ass he'd ever had back in his bed. Mystique would be so pleased to have her daughter finally rid of the Cajun that there was no telling where her gratitude might end as long as Rogue never learned the truth of the deal they'd made.
