This marks the beginning of a series of (almost) 100 word drabbles about Lily Evans-Potter. This one begins with her about age 10. Enjoy, and let me know if you want more!
Before Lily's life had changed, she had wanted to be a nurse.
Of course, many told her that was a silly idea; she was ten, she didn't know the way of the world – and besides, if she was going to spend all that money, why not just be a doctor?
But Lily had met doctors, and she didn't like them.
She liked the nurses, who always had a kind word, or a moment to hold your hand, or advice on what to say to that boy who lived down the street.
Before Lily's life had changed, she had wanted to be a nurse.
What do you think? I always imagined Lily as hopeful, but with dark knowledge of the world, even at such a tender age.
