A wave jostles the boat, making Much's stomach do a somersault.

"I hate boats," he says. "Why do we have to take a boat back to England?"

Beside him, Robin smirks. "Because you can't swim."

"Well, that's hardly my fault, is it? You should have taught me. Besides-"

Another, bigger wave hits, and Much can't take it anymore. He retches over the side of the boat, then finishes shakily, "-even drowning would be preferable to this."

Robin can't bear the thought, but he doesn't say it aloud. Instead, he simply slips an arm around Much and leads him below deck.
