Okay, so. Here today I have a lovely little modern Hijack AU which will hopefully become much longer. This first part is very short, so bear with me. I'm not the greatest at making long chapters. Generally, this will be just little oneshots (in a somewhat chronological order) of Hiccup and Jack's life as adults, from Marriage to fatherhood and everything inbetween. The rating will probably stay at K+, so nothing more than that, but I'm willing to take requests from reviews or PMs, so enjoy.

Oh, and I almost forgot; disclaimer! But do you really think I own either HTTYD or ROTG? Nope, sorry.

The sky was calm, pale, and clear; only a slight breeze blowing past. A thick blanket of white coated the field, left from a heavy snowfall the night before and bare aside from two sets of footprints.

The footprints walked in a straight line; leading to the bridge above the iced-over pond. Standing in the middle of the bridge were two young men, one being only twenty-two, fresh out of college with a degree in engineering . His auburn hair was tucked under a grey beanie, a thick brown jacket keeping the rest of him warm. The other stood much shorter than the first, wearing a puffy light blue coat and tight jeans. Snowflake-patterned ear muffs adorned his head, holding down some of his ice-white hair. He was younger as well, having turned twenty only a week before.

"Wow!" The albino gasped, turning in circles with childish glee as he looked out over the frozen scenery, "It's beautiful, Hiccup!"

"Not as beautiful as you, Jack." The taller man said, causing a blush rise to his lover's already cold-bitten face.

"What's with all the romance today, Hic?"

"Jack, I…" He fiddled nervously with the object in his pocket.

"You what?"

"I want to ask you something."

"Go ahead, silly. You don't need to ask me if you can ask me something."

"Okay." Deep breath, "I need you to close your eyes for me. Just close them and think back. Do you remember the day we met?"

Jack chuckled. "Of course I do. First day of my freshman year. I slipped in the hall and plowed into you."

"Yeah. My books flew everywhere and I was pissed for weeks. But then we started hanging out, and our cliche pining began. I remember the day when you asked me out on a date. Pizza at the arcade; nothing special. That was when I realised how much I actually liked you, and when I kissed you later that week, I felt like I was the king of the world. For the past six years, you've been here for me, and I've been here for you, and I want to promise you that I always will be. I want you to promise me the same thing." He took another deep breath, then moved to kneel on the snowy bridge, "Open your eyes, Jack."

The albino did as he was told, blinking down at his boyfriend in confusion before his electric blue eyes widened with surprise.

Hiccup pulled a small velvet box from his pocket, opening it to reveal a shiny silver band with three small sapphires embedded in it.

"Jackson Overland Frost, will you give me the honor of becoming your husband?"

"Oh god. Oh my god! Yes! A thousand times yes!" Tears of joy slid down Jack's pale face as the ring was slipped onto his finger. He propelled himself forward into hiccup's arms, hugging him fiercely. "I love you so much!"

"I love you, too."
