The clouds were slowly forming, the rays of sunlight beginning to fade out as a gray atmosphere began to settle among the both of them, that last few spots of sunlight closing, getting smaller and smaller, yet still illuminating 2 figures, one pale and motionless, except for a gentle rising and falling of their chest, though their breathing desperate and ragged, the other dark skinned and stricken with grief.
The rays of sunlight acting like a spotlight, growing smaller until it dissipated completely, leaving them in nothing but the cold wake of the dirge of serenity...there was a puddle of crimson, staining the gray earth below them, forming on the side of the motionless girl, her side drenched in the same crimson colored fluid as the other girl was knelt beside her.
Words weren't enough to show the pain between the two as they stared wordlessly at eachother, a single tear slid down the kneeling girl's chin, falling seemlessly onto the dying girl's cheek, causing her to stir slightly...The young girl looking at the other desperately, knowingly, slowly moving her hand up towards the other's face, her muscles weak, her movements frail, the look in her eyes sad and yet hopeful at the same time as she placed her palm on the darker girl's face.
The dark skinned figure raised her own hand, placing it on the one against her cheek, feeling how cold it was as she gently ran her fingers along the flawless skin. The dying girl's thumb caressing her warm skin gently, full of care and neediness, wiping away a tear as her eyes began to become watery themselves, tears starting to stream slowly down her cheeks as she continued to stare into the other's eyes, which were dark brown endless pools of grief..
The dying girl's silky black hair was sprawled across the floor and onto the darker girl's lap, neither of them making a sound... until one showed a sign...a smile that slowly made it's way onto the dying girl's lips, a smile that told her death will be a friend, her violet eyes shining dully..but reassuringly in contrast to the other..and that itself, was more than enough to send the darker girl over the edge, clutching the pale girl tightly to her chest.. She had moved on..
Death is a Friend..
Soon it will be ours as well..
