"So tell me K-Becks," Beckett's friend Madison said as she sat at the island counter in the

kitchen of the loft with a wine glass in hand. "How does it feel to be married to a somewhat

famous author and having your face in magazines, and the paper?" Beckett sat on the stool

next to her. "It feels strange. To go from anonymity to going to a fancy party and having

designers saying they'll pay me to wear there creation to an event," Beckett said. "The worst

are the rumors and made up stories."

"What was the worst rumor?" Madison asked. "Well there was the one where the papers said

I was getting back together with Gina," Castle said entering the room from his office. "The

worst though happened right after we publicly announced our engagement. There was a

charity event. A few days before we had tried this Chinese take out place for the first time

and the food didn't agree with me," Beckett said.

"That would be an understatement," Castle interrupted. Beckett and Madison smiled. "So

what happened?" Madison asked.

"I had been sick to my stomach for two days. Then the next day I couldn't eat anything

without feel sick. The day of the event, I was feeling better so I decided to go with Castle. He

told me not to, but it was our first public event since going public about our relationship. But I

decided not to take a chance on getting sick and didn't drink any alcohol at the event."

"So where's the bad part?" Madison asked impatiently.

"I'm getting to it. The next day, it was all over the papers and gossip magazines about me not

drinking and you what that means..." Madison thought for a minute. "Oh no..." She said.

Beckett nodded. "Everyone was saying I wasn't drinking because I was pregnant,"

"Because a woman doesn't drink alcohol at a party and it has to be that she's pregnant,"

Castle said sarcastically.

"My phone went crazy. My dad and other family calling asking if it's true,"

"And the stories and headlines were crazy. They were saying it was a shotgun wedding. And

that explains the engagement. Why we suddenly went from writer/muse to engaged out of

nowhere. What they didn't know was that we'd been together for a year before we got

engaged. It was a week and half before it blew over," Castle said.

"Omg!" Madison said shocked.

"Right and all of that because I decided not to drink any alcohol at a party because didn't want

to take a chance on embarrassing myself by vomiting," Beckett said shaking her head.

"Well you certainly learned your lesson that night," Madison said.

"Oh yeah," Castle and Beckett said in unison.

Note: That thing with being sick for days from trying a different Chinese take out place actually happened to me recently.
