Part One
"In blue fire..." Giles frowned in concentration. He had been trying to translate
the prophecy for hours. "In blue fire..."
The library door swung open. "Hi!" Willow chirped. Giles nodded distractedly
Willow peered from his shoulders. "What's that?"
"A prophecy i'm trying to crack." Giles shut his eyes. "In blue fire...the
final darkness is banished."

"Aww, you're such a cute little squiggly poo..." Poppy North cooed as she
nuzzled against the fur of the siamese kitten. Thea had asked her to take
Phylo with her on her journey to...well, nowhere in particular but hey, she
was supposed to be on vacation.
James shifted uncomfortably in the drivers seat. "Can you cut down on the
cute talk?" He turned to look at Poppy and the kitten Thea had dumped on
them. "I still think that Ash-"
"JAMES! Look out!"
James swerved to avoid the couple crossing the road. And barely missed
a tree. In a daze, he blinked and murmured, "Who did we almost hit?"
The couple (who were crossing the road) ran to James BMW. Well, it
wasn't his, in truth, Thierry had kindly borrowed them the car. A girl peered
at the window. "Uh, are you guys okay?"
"I don't think Phylo is," James said dryly as he eyed the kitten cowering
in Poppy's arms. Then he saw that Poppy was staring - no make that
gaping at the boy. He narrowed his eye at the boy who stared back
at Poppy.
/You know this guy?/ James asked her telepathically. Poppy nodded
weakly. "Uh, hi Oz."
Oz blinked. "Poppy. I thought you were dead." He had looked mildly
surprised but now, he looked like seeing his dead relative was an
everyday occurence.
"Umm." Poppy looked at James."Long story. James, this is my cousin,
Oz. Oz, this is James," She looked at the girl expectantly. She's cute,
Poppy summarized. A little...witchy-looking. "Your girlfriend?"
"Yeah, this is Willow,"
"Hi," Willow frowned at Oz. "How come the cousin you thought were
dead is not dead?" He shrugged.
Poppy glanced at James. /Should we tell them?/ James shrugged.
/We could always wipe them out./
/I don't want to,/
/Well, then...he is your cousin. If you think we can trust him.../
"We can!" Then Poppy realized she was talking out loud. "Uh..."
"Are you two vampires of something?" Willow asked suspiciously.
Poppy and James narrowed their eyes at Willow. "What did
you say.
"Don't worry, this place is full of vampires," Oz muttered. "We
kinda thought that, you know, since you're alive and all, after we
buried you..."
Poppy looked at James again. He sighed. "How much do you know
about the Night World?" He asked resignedly.
"Nothing."
"Night World?"
"Wait a minute. You guys know about vampires, right?" Willow and
Oz nodded. "But not about the Night World," she mumbled. "Hmmm.
okay, what about witched and werewolves and shifters?"
"I'm a werewolf."
"Shifters?"
Poppy sighed. "Let's go somewhere else and we'll explain..."
