A/N: It's been a while since I wrote any fanfic. This is just something light and silly. Takes place after the Dinner Party, and I wrote it then remembered Isobel showed up at the end of that episode, so...for this, we'll pretend she didn't ok? I'm kind of nervous posting this, and I hope you like it.

Elena awoke to the sound of the lamp crashing onto the floor by the bottom of the stairs. Her heart was pounding in her chest. "No…It couldn't be Elijah or Klaus…vampires are agile and can see in the dark. They wouldn't break the lamp on their way in…Besides, Elijah's dead, hopefully for good this time. I would know, I did kill him..." She told herself, trying to calm down. She quietly crept out of bed and grabbed the scissors out of the bathroom, just in case she would need to defend herself.

Slowly she crept down the stairs in the dark, cautiously looking around and then a light went on in the kitchen.

"Older women…he likes older women…" She heard Jenna's slurred voice and relaxed. It was just Aunt Jenna, drunk, Elena thought.

She made her way into the kitchen, "Um, hey, Aunt Jenna." She said.

Jenna looked at Elena over the rim of her margarita glass, "Hello, Elena. You're lucky. Look at you."

Elena raised an eyebrow, "Why is that? Because I won't have a pounding headache when I wake up?"

Jenna laughed, "No, silly girl." She took a swig, "Because you have a man who doesn't keep secrets from you and who wouldn't rather date an older woman."

Elena laughed, "If you only knew half of it..."

"What was that?"

"Nothing." Elena said.

"Shouldn't you be in bed?" Jenna asked, finishing off her drink and reaching for the bottle of tequila.

"I was. You broke the lamp by the stairs and woke me up though. I thought someone broke into the house." Elena told her and reached to take the bottle away, "Haven't you had enough?"

"I don't know." She looked thoughtful for a minute, "Hmm…I can remember Alaric keeping something from me about his wife, when he should be honest and I remember Elijah telling me I wasn't him type…something about him being into 'older women.' So no, I don't think I've had enough. I'm young, I'm pretty, why would he want some old granny instead?"

Elena gawked, "Elijah said you weren't his type? You wanted to…get together with him? Why?"

"Why not? He's hot." Jenna said, "Come on, like you didn't notice! Well, maybe you didn't notice, you have Stefan." She paused, "I wonder what happened to him though…He just got up and left our dinner party…"

"Must have seen an old granny walking down the street and just had to have her." Elena joked and laughed nervously.

"That is not funny." Jenna told her, bringing the bottle to her lips and taking a swig, "Ok, it would be if it wasn't me he turned down for that old granny."

Elena nodded, "You're right…" She said, "I'm sorry."

Elena stayed with Jenna until she had drunk herself into a stupor and had to help her to the couch, "What happened to the lamp?" Jenna asked, "Did Jeremy do that? That'll come out of his allowance."

"You broke that lamp, and what are you talking about, allowance? You don't give us an allowance." Elena told her, "Good night, Aunt Jenna…" She said and pulled a blanket over her now snoring aunt.
