"Wake up, get up now Aziza if you value your neck" a voice hissed in Aziza's ear, as she was brutally being shaken awake.
"What?" she asked blearily, her mind was spinning and though the room was dimly lit what was left of the florescent lights burned her eyes and made her recoil.
"This inst Monday morning when Mommy will give you an extra five minutes!" growled the woman, she was strikingly pretty and her deep blue eyes reflected with urgency "get your lazy ass out of bed!" She was heaved up, Aziza knew at once that this woman was a vampire of considerable strength.
She was half carried out into the hall where James gazed sympathetically at the pair of them.
"James are we ready?" The woman asked bossily, she had a commanding authority and James nodded at her curtly.
"Adrian I don't really think this is the best idea"
"Don't really think" Adrian said, "how come that doesn't surprise me? If you don't like it you can just wait for Vladimir to arrive and we can have a nice little chat over tea, and explain how him wanting to kill us; hurts our feelings" she said sarcastically.
"Fine" James said coldly. He stared stonily at her, his soft green eyes turned bitter and dull, and his jaw was set.
She noticed that she was walking down the hallway with them, Adrian in front, herself in the middle and closely fallowed by a cynical James. They were just nearing the end of the hallway when Lily entered from a door down the hall. She didn't seem the least bit troubled by them being there.
"Lily you know what to do if Vladimir decides to show his face around here" Adrian said coolly.
"Right," Lily said sharply. She nodded and began to walk down the hall.
"Well, well, well" said a sly voice smooth as iced vodka "its so nice to know I will have such a warm welcome" Vladimir looked smugly upon the group. "How wonderful to see you again so soon Adrian,"
"Leave Vladimir, if you value your life!" she warned him, "do not forget our agreement"
"As yes, it seems you did get me out of a jam" He mused, "but I cannot let this child live. I have another agreement to attend to"
"The council" Aziza said listlessly "they are the makers of the deal"
"Very good" Vladimir stated "Adrian; she is a smart one, too bad I need to kill her and the abomination that lay dormant in her womb"
"You touch her Vladimir and God help me," Adrian growled,
"Like how you tried to help Christopher" Vladimir hissed, a glimmer of pain crossing his handsome features.
"You know that was an accident" Adrian replied.
"I've lost my family to you creatures," he bluntly stated, "so remind me why I should be hospitable"
