A/N: hey guys, I apologize for the lack of updates on my other stories. I have had major writers block and hopefully this story will unblock my writing flow. A bunch of people commented on Prompt saying that they wanted this to be an actual story and I listened hah. But anyway, keep an eye out for updates on my other stories, along with my completed one, I'm With The Enemy. I've been getting ideas for either continuing that story or for the sequel. I am currently on summer vacation now some hopefully, if I get over this writers block, they'll be more updates. Love you all!

That was it.
That slushy pushed Rachel Berry over the edge.
She had already told her fathers and they are connecting the headmaster at Dalton Academy. She was going to be the first girl student ever at Dalton.
She walked into the choir room to say a final goodbye. If the slushies ever stopped, she would be notified and would possibly come back.
When Will walked in and asked if anyone would like to sing/say anything, Rachel raised her hand. "The floor is yours, Rachel. He said as he stepped off to the side.
Numerous eye-rolls were exchanged as Rachel took center.
"I hate to say this, but I am leaving McKinley High. The slushies are too much, I'm sorry. I will be attending Dalton Academy. I understand that it is an all-boys school, but it has a zero-tolerance for bullying. I will keep in touch with you all, but this is probably my last glee club meeting with you all." And with that, Rachel sat down, leaving everyone speechless.
"So, Rach, what does this mean for us?" Finn asked.
"If fate wants us to be together, then we'll be together. I'm starting at Dalton tomorrow, so we're ending here. I'm sorry, Finn." Rachel said, look at the ground. She looked up when she felt someone rubbing her back.
It was Quinn.
"Quinn?" Rachel asked softly, confused.
"I'm sorry for doing this to you. I'll try and get the slushies to stop so you can come back." Quinn whispered so only Rachel could hear her.
Rachel nodded in response.
It was Friday, so Puck decided to host a going away party for one Rachel Berry.
"Noah, this really isn't necessary." Rachel said as she helped Puck set out red solo cups for people to hold their drinks in.
"It's no problem, Jew Babe. I know I'm still gonna see you, we all know this, but it wouldn't be right to see you leave without a proper goodbye, Noah Puckerman style." Puck explained. "Just as long as I don't have to fumble any of those Dalton guys for hurting my Jewish American Princess."
Rachel giggled. She loved it when Noah called her that.
The duo was pulled out of their chatter when someone knocked at the door.
"I'll get it." Rachel stated as she pulled open the door to reveal a sobbing Tina and a comforting Mike.
"Oh, Tina. What is it?" Rachel asked.
"I-I just can't be-lieve you're leaving." Tina sobbed.
"Oh, hun don't worry. I'll be back. You'll still see me, just not at McKinley. I swear I will be at every single New Direction performance, hell, I'll be with you guys every day I can." Rachel explained, hugging Tina tightly.
Tina nodded and followed Mike into the living room while Rachel waited for the rest of their friends to show up.
Once everyone was there and they were all relatively buzzed, Puck called out that they were going to be playing spin the bottle.
So that was how they ended up sitting boy-girl in a circle, Rachel being placed in between Mike and Sam, nowhere near Finn.
"Aight, since Rachel is leaving," Puck started with a pout, "she gets to start us off. The rules, in case anyone forgot, is that if you land on the same person twice you get sent to the closet for 7 minutes. If you refuse to either kiss or go in the closet, you gotta take a shot. Now lets get this on!" Puck stated, handing Rachel the empty beer bottle which she gladly took and spun.
Everyone watched in amazement as the bottle circled and circled until it came to a slow stop in front of Brittany. Rachel shrugged and leaned in, pressing her lips lightly against the blondes when Brittany practally sat on Rachel.
The night went on slightly the same, resulting in Tina, Mike, Puck, and Quinn kissing Rachel, Kurt kissing Finn (he was thrilled and wouldn't stop screaming), Mike and Rachel ending up in the closet, Artie kissing Quinn and Santana, Sam kissing Mercedes, and so forth. The last pairing of Artie and Brittany leaving around 2 in the morning. After Rachel volunteered to clean up Pucks house, she made her own way home. She had the rest of Saturday to pack, and then she was going to Dalton on Sunday to meet her roommate and get her classes all ready.
Rachel was woken up by her phone hours later. She rubbed her eyes hastily before picking up her phone and seeing who decided to bug her at this ungodly hour.
'Rach, I need to talk to you. –Q'
Rachel checked the time before panicking. It was almost 3 and she hadn't a thing packed.
'Can't talk now, overslept and I need to get things ready for Dalton.-R*'
She struggled to get everything together and into her fathers' car. Her dad had already picked up her blazer from the school earlier that day, and Rachel headed for the mall to pick up the grey skirts she needed. There was no way in hell that she was wearing those khakis made for guys. If she was going to an all-boys school, she was going to look good doing so.
"Be back later dads, going to the mall." Rachel said as she grabbed her car keys and made a beeline for the door, not bothering to wait for an answer from her dads.
Once in the car Rachel plugged in her iPhone and turned up her music. She was singing along to a number from Spring Awakeningwhen she pulled into the parking lot of the Lima mall, spotting a very familiar red Volkswagen Beetle.
'By any chance, are you at the mall? –R*'
'Yeah, how'd you know?- Q'
'lucky guess. –R*'
Rachel got out of her car and headed for the mall, clicking the lock button on her keys to lock up her car.
Rachel moved around the busy mall with ease. She had already gotten her skirts and other supplies she'd need for her dorm when she ran into a familiar blonde.
"Rachel, hey!"
"Hello Quinn. How are you?" Rachel replied as she readjusted the bags on her arms.
"I'm doing good. Look, can we talk now? I really need to um, ask your opinion on something." Quinn asked.
Rachel checked her phone before answering. It was around 5 o'clock. She needed to be home by 5:30 to do some more last minute packing.
"Fine." Quinn led Rachel to a bench nearby. "So what do you need my opinion on?"
"Last night, when we kissed, did you feel anything?"
"We kissed?" Rachel replied, clueless.
Quinn sighed. "Yes, during spin the bottle."
"I don't know, Quinn. I was obviously drunk. I really need to go, can we talk about this later? I'm sorry for the rush, I just had a late start this morning." Rachel replied.
"Uh, yeah, sure." Quinn answered. Rachel leaned in carefully and gave Quinn a kiss on the cheek. It took all Quinn had not to turn her head.
Sunday morning was hectic for Rachel. She woke up at 5 and quickly scurried into her uniform before giving each of her dads a kiss on the cheek. She was on the road by 6, starting the hour-long drive to Westerville.
When Rachel arrived at Dalton Academy, she had no idea on where to go. She walked into what she figured was the admin building and got her dorm room and schedule, before heading out to the dorm buildings.
Well, at least she tried to. She ended up running into a small, slick-haired boy that was going into the admin building the same time she was leaving.
"Oh, I'm sorry." The boy said.
"It's fine. I'm Rachel, Rachel Berry." Rachel said, holding out her hand for him to shake.
"Ah, I've heard about you. The first girl ever to walk the halls of Dalton Academy as a student. I'm Blaine Anderson." Blaine stated.
"Nice to meet you Blaine."
"You too Rachel. I'd love to stay and chat, but I've got Warblers practice to attend. Why don't you stop by the choir room later, maybe try out?" Blaine asked. "We'd love to have a female vocal in our group."
"Warblers, is that a show choir?" Rachel asked, Blaine nodded. "Sure, I'd love too." She answered with a smile.
Blaine smiled and headed past her further into the admin building, which was also one of the classroom buildings. Rachel wandered out of the admin building and to her dorm building, asking a tall, caramel-haired boy to kindly help her with her luggage up the stairs.
"Thank you so much..?" Rachel asked.
"Sebastian, Sebastian Smythe. You must be Rachel Berry?" Sebastian asked, setting down Rachel's things and holding his hand out.
"Yes, yes I am. Could you please point out room B-34?" She asked, shaking his hand.
"Right down that hall." He pointed. "My dorm is right across the hall. I warn you, this hallway might get noisy. We've got most of the Warblers and most of the Lacrosse team on this floor."
"Lacrosse?" Rachel asked, confused. She'd never heard of lacrosse before.
"It's a sport, a mix of football, soccer, and hockey, if you will. It's really interesting. We have a game tomorrow, you should come." Sebastian suggested.
"I think I will. Thanks again, Sebastian." She said, picking up her luggage.
"No problem." He leaned down and lightly kissed her cheek, before waving and heading back down the stairs.
When Rachel walked into room B-34, it was already unlocked. She entered the room and saw two beds, two dressers, two desks with laps, a plasma TV on the wall with an assortment of DVDs which she assumed were her roommates, and various items around the room. She also saw a black-haired boy laying down on the bed furthest from the door, a book placed in his hands and his navy and red blazer discarded neatly on the back of a desk chair. He was currently wearing checkered lounge pants and a grey t-shirt.
"Hey. You must be Rachel. I'm Nicholas Duval, but everyone calls me Nick. I'm your roommate." The boy said after placing a bookmark in his book.
"Yeah, I'm Rachel. Nice to meet you. What book is that?" Rachel asked curiously with a smile.
"Harry Potter, I love those books." Nick answered. "Your desk is that one, and your dresser is over there." Nick said, pointing in the various directions.
"Okay, thanks." Rachel said, putting her luggage next to her bed.
"So Rachel, not to sound creeperish or anything, but, can you tell me about yourself? I'd like to know my roommate a little better." He said with a smile.
"Well, I'm Rachel Barbra Berry, I am currently a Junior and I transferred here from McKinley High School. I was the co-captain of the show choir there, the New Directions, and I plan on attending NYADA for college as a part of making my dream of being on Broadway a reality." Rachel explained.
"I see. And, if you don't mind me asking, why Dalton?"
"I heard that there was a zero-tolerance bullying policy and I could not take the bullying at my old school any longer. Care to tell me about yourself?" Rachel asked, simply.
"Well, I'm Nicholas Adam Duval, I am also a Junior and I've been going to Dalton since I started high school. I am a part of Dalton's show choir, the Warblers, and I also am number 6 on Dalton's lacrosse team. I plan on attending college for photography and performing arts." Nick explained.
"Interesting, but isn't the Warblers practice right now? I ran into Blaine Anderson earlier and he said he was late for it." Rachel asked.
"He is basically our captain, our lead singer. He was probably going over some songs with our actual captains, David and Wes. He's only a sophomore. The actual Warbler practice doesn't start for an hour." Nick explained.
"He told me to stop by, could I maybe come with you?"
"Sure, I don't see why not." Nick said with a smile. "Now, I suggest you start unpacking, because you won't have much time for that later." He chuckled and turned on the plasma TV set on the wall. Rachel rolled her eyes and began unpacking.
This is going to be a long, but fun year.
