Leah had always been amused by the simplest things.

She could play with a slinky for hours, never getting bored.

Maybe, that's why she loved him.

Leah could always find something to look at in everything most people consider simple.

She played with a mirror once, just looking at the reflections of light on the wall. There were more colors than she could hope to ever see again.

And Jacob... Some people did consider him simple. He was a typical kid from the Rez. Nothing really made him stand out from the sea of boys who look just like him.

Except to Leah.

To Leah he was a boy who had his heart broken too many times. He was a boy who made her really step back and take a look at the simple things she loved. He was the boy who could make her smile when she felt like the world would fall apart.

And really, Leah wouldn't care if he was simple. She couldn't handle more than simple, anyway. Look how her life turned out when things stopped being simple.

He was a simple boy, who loved a simple girl, who loved simple things.

And they were both okay with that.

I have no idea if this is good or not, I kept editing it, and I kind of like how it turned out.
