summary: the new girl makes a splash
"Hey, baby, nice ass!" A tall, blonde-headed guy said to a petite girl as she made her way down the still unfamiliar halls of her new school. The blonde guy grinned as he got a handful of fabric, but the grin faded as he was slammed up against the lockers by the girl.
"I'm sorry; I believe that is personal property." The fiery girl said, and then released the guy. "Watch your hands, jockstrap." The girl grinned spitefully at the boy and made her way down the hall, subconsciously aware of the looks she was getting.
It seemed beating up jocks didn't go over very well at any school.
The blonde was shaken out of her thoughts abruptly as she felt a hand on her shoulder and whipped around to take out her new-school anxiety on this feel-a-cop'per.
"Whoa! I just wanted to see if you were ok." The tall brunette said, backing away and holding his hands up in surrender.
"I'm great. Thanks." The blonde replied quickly.
"I guess that was a stupid question. I guess we all know you can handle yourself alone."
"I can." The blonde stated, looking up at the brunette.
"You're new?"
"You're quick." The blonde replied sarcastically. "Okay, I'm being a bitch. Sorry." She said reproachfully as the brunette pulled back at her words.
"First day, new school, I understand."
"Thanks. Alright, stand back." The blonde said as she let go of the lock on her locker.
"You're not going to beat me up, are you?" He joked, removing his hand from the locker.
"You're funny." The blonde replied as she hit the locker three times above the vents and it popped open, catching the tall boy's shirt and tugging, leaving a slight tear in the fabric.
"I told you to stand back." The petite replied, placing a book in the bottom shelf and grabbing a purple binder from the top shelf.
"I'm Clark." The tall boy said, extending his arm.
"You've got manners!" The blonde grinned wryly. "I'm Chloe," she replied as Clark eyed her.
"So I'm assuming you're new, because Jackson tries that move on any girl he thinks he can get away with it."
"So I look like a victim?" Chloe replied, glancing up at Clark.
"No, you're just---" Clark trailed off, embarrassed.
"Short?" Chloe supplied, grinning as she shut her locker. "I know, but that's never stopped me before."
"Where are you heading now?"
"The annex---Geometry with Mr.Alberts."
"I'm heading there too. Can I walk with you?"
"Yeah, maybe you can keep the big, bad jockstraps away." Chloe sneered as she began down the hall. When she realized Clark was still standing at her locker, she beckoned to him.
"It was sarcasm, Clark. Let's go!"
