Exposed

Jordan had always known something weird was going on in their world. She had only never realized what exactly it was. She had always guessed it was Gus' presence that made her little world weird. He and her acquaintances, Oliver and Kaz, did the most crazy stuff. And still, after everything they made her go through, like the leak in the Domain when Wallace and Clyde disappeared, she could count them as her acquaintances.

But now, not only one month later, she didn't know what to think anymore.

It had been a sunny day when she saw it happen. She was at the Domain, which Gus still ran at that time, and she looked outside at the right moment. If she had waited another second, or was a second too early, she would not have seen how Tecton landed on the ground and how Blue Tornado had stopped spinning. She kept looking, and then saw how they changed clothes super-fast.

That was the first real proof. This was her first clue.

Ever since the event, she had doubted the existence of superheroes and villains, as well as questioning her sanity. They were just comic book characters, right? They couldn't be real! That's why they're called fictional characters. There's no way those guys could have been the real Tecton and Blue Tornado. The guy looking like Tecton was hurt, right? He didn't heal right away. It was impossible that they exist.

And yet, there were several clues which kind of gave away the existence of those fictional superheroes and villains. She looked up when walking on the streets and saw something fly over. It had been blurry and she almost didn't see it happen. Later, she noticed how someone ran through an alley, climbing the walls with ease. And Connie Valentine still looked very familiar.

The most obvious hint, however, came from the newest Titanio comic book. He was fighting Micros in a park in the city of Philadelphia, with the help of Citadel. The day the comic book came out was also the day that said park was closed for the publish. Normally, Jordan would not pay attention to it, but she did notice it that day. The next day, the park was opened again. People would say they were working because there had been a leak.

Jordan didn't believe it. A leak in the park, really? They could always say there were pipes under the park, connecting several buildings and blocks with each other, but why did they have to repair it in the park? And most importantly, if it was that dangerous, wouldn't they just work calm and slowly instead of hurrying so the park would be opened the next day.

Jordan eventually did some research. Too many incidents happened in Philadelphia and other big cities in America, and too many public attractions were closed on the day that they were wrecked in the comic books. There were too many coincidences, too much evidence.

Jordan knew the truth. Superheroes exist, and they do fight villains and make sure the citizens were safe, even if it meant that they did not know about their world and would only describe it as fictional. And Jordan chose not to say anything, unless there was real evidence to proof that they indeed existed, like a picture in HD, or a video in which people could recognize their own neighborhood.

But until then, she was content with keeping the secret or risking being called 'crazy'.

Hey there! Yeah, here's another Mighty Med one-shot. I was inspired by the episode Storm's End, where Jordan had seen Tecton and Blue Tornado. I just imagined the possibilities, and randomly decided to write this little one-shot. Some people gotta dig deeper in canon. I really hope you liked this little one-shot and see you next time on Ultimate Mission, Moonlight, or any other story!
