Summary: The immortality that Voldemort and Nicholas Flamel finally received.

Disclaimer: Nope, I don't own Harry Potter. Nuff said.

Timeless Immortality

By: Albinofrog

There is something timeless about death.

It is unchangeable, ever-present.

Even if the universe was to flicker and die, like a candle flame on a stormy night, death would not cease to exist.

Even if there is nothing else left to devour, it is there, lurking in the darkest shadows, waiting to pounce.

Immortality isn't easily obtain, however simple it may seem.

You do not achieve it by a philosopher's stone, nor by splitting your soul.

You may laugh at this however much you like.

It is the power of observation.

A power given to very few.

Something you had, once upon a time, but which you neglected.

You do not understand the beauty of life, death and, most of all, freedom.

These concepts disappeared from you in your youth, when you lost the innocence of childhood far too soon.

But for that, it is not you who are at fault.

It was stolen from you.

And for that, the only timeless immortality you will ever experience, is death.

No, I still don't have anything to write her, just that this is an idea I've been playing around with for a while and finally got right.
