Elven Death Song

AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is a poem I dreamed up when I thought that drakara had killed off her character Drakara, in her story Not Alone. I imagined that legolas offered to sing this, biting back tears in his eyes…thankfully, chapter 7 of her story has come up, and I don't think that Drakara is going to die anytime soon…I hope…I've grown to love that character…sigh. (PS: I got the idea from an enya song)

Watch the green grass turn to brown,

Watch the leaves come falling down,

My spirit carries in the wind,

Whispering "I'll come again"

"Do not weep for me" It says,

"Just remember what I've said"

Be one with earth, wind and the sea,

And your longing spirit comes for me.

Just as brown soon turns to green,

And how trees paint a new scene,

The wind carries me to you,

And I'll start my life anew.

Twas no lie when I said,

I will soon come again,

In meantime wait, wait with no tears,

And I'll vanquish all your fears.

I hear your silent little prayers,

Do not worry face fear's stares,

I will be here all your days,

And will warm you come what may.

Now I end this little song,

Hoping you'll cross heaven's throng,

I know you have suffered enough,

And now you don't feel the rough.
