.:Monster:.
Machi waited patiently outside the restaurant she was supposed to be at with Yuki. Yuki had asked her out to dinner as a "friend," but Machi could tell that it was a date. Machi never got out much, so she didn't even know how she was supposed to act. But now, she had no time to think because Yuki came running down the sidewalk panting with every leap he took.
"Sorry I'm late!" he said nearly out of breath.
"It's okay. But, I do think our reservations have expired," Machi had a grave tone in her voice. This definitely was not a good start to a date…or whatever you would like to call it.
"Maybe we could somewhere else," Yuki suggested.
Machi agreed and they set out for a sushi bar across the town. Little did Machi know that the reason Yuki was late is because he had another eventful meeting with Akito.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" Akito asked in his dreamy yet deadly voice.
"I'm going out with a friend." Yuki replied curtly. Akito let out a dark laugh and then said in an icy voice, "Silly Yuki, you don't have any friends. You are simply nothing but a monster."
"No Akito, you are the monster." Yuki nudged Akito out of his way and ran. But for some reason, Yuki felt that Akito was right.
Meanwhile, Machi thought their date was going horribly. The barely even talked at all because both of them were too embarrassed to say anything. "Maybe he doesn't like me at all…" but Machi's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of thunder. She wasn't watching where she was going and then bumped into Yuki.
"Oh I'm…" suddenly a big boom was heard, followed by a puff of purple smoke. Machi's eyes were very wide, but she still remained calm while Yuki now took his paws and put them over his face.
Yes, he is now a rat.
Several tense moments passed until Machi forced out words.
"Yuki…is that you?"
"Yes, sadly."
"So…so it is true then, all the rumors I have heard."
"Don't look at me! I'm nothing but…but a monster!"
Machi leaned down so that she was eye level with Yuki. She was on the verge of tears herself for some odd reason. So this is the real Yuki.
"Oh Yuki, you will never be a monster. You're just different, that's all."
"No Machi, you don't understand."
"I may not understand, but I know one thing; I love you." Suddenly Yuki turned back into his normal self while a single tear rolled down Machi's cheek. Yuki caught it on his finger and gazed deeply into Machi's eyes.
"I love you too." He whispered into her ear. The he pulled her close and kissed her passionately.
Then Machi whispered, "You're not a monster at all."
.:The End:.
