Sophia Robins gets off the plane and goes to get her luggage. Her baby blue eyes wander around the terminal as she went, slightly covered by her long blonde hair. Walking over to baggage claim, she looks around at the other passengers that were on her flight get their bags pretty quickly. After a few moments, she frowns, noticing her bag had not arrived.
Nearby security personnel must have noticed for he walked over to her. He flashes Sophia a weak smile. "I'm sorry young lady but it looks like we've lost your luggage."
Sophia let out a slightly annoyed sigh. At least she had packed the gift her parents had given her before she left in her carry-on bag. "Well nobody's perfect, "she says politely. She could get some more clothes while she was out here.
Turning on her heel, she walks out of the airport and steps outside the bright California sunshine. She recoils and immediately raises a hand to cover her face; the sunlight nearly blinded her. She takes her sunglasses out of her purse and put them on. Then Sophia hailed the taxi that sat in front of her; she climbs in and buckles up.
"Where to sweetheart?" the taxi driver asks.
"Just into the city maybe the park," she replies.
"You got it." The driver smiles. The car slowly pulls away and drives down the highway. Sophia turns to the window and looks out at the scenery as they went. It definitely wasn't like home. An hour or so later the car stopped in front of the park.
"Here we are Blue Bay Harbor Park," the driver announces.
"Thank you sir" Sophia chirps.
She pays the driver and got out of the car. The driver rolls down the window, "You don't have to worry, miss. Everyone here is nice; you'll fit in, in no time."
"Thanks!" Sophia smiles at the driver and takes a step back as it drove away. Putting her wallet back in her pocket, she sees that paying the taxi driver had used more money than she anticipated.
Well looks like I may have to sing to earn some extra cash. She thought with a sigh.
Sophia wanders over to an empty pavilion and takes off her backpack to sets it on the ground. She takes out her IPod, her Ihome, and a small plastic container. She sets the plastic container on the ground in front of the little step. She sets up the Ihome and picks a song and starts to sing along with it.
As she sang, a crowd starts to form, tossing money into the container she had set up. As more people walk up, she starts to put more emotion into the song, hoping it would keep them. When the song ends the crowd applauded and put more money into the container. Wow, I didn't think I was that good.
Beaming, Sophia starts to sing another song.
Tori, Shane, Dustin, Hunter, Blake, and Cam are walking through the park when they hear the sound of someone singing. Looking around they noticed a large crowd had formed around something and they were listening appreciatively to whatever was going on.
"What's going on over there?" Dustin asks, pointing over to the crowd.
"I don't know," Cam replies.
"Why do we go check it out?" Shane suggests.
The teenagers nod and walk over to the crowd of people. They politely make their way through the crowd and Hunter is the first one to see Sophia.
"Wow she is really good," he remarks.
"Yeah I wonder who she is?" Dustin asks.
When she finished this song, the crowd cheers once more, giving her more money. The girl starts to pack up her things, waving to the crowd and giving her thanks as the park patrons went on their way.
"Wow $34.50 that will keep me going for a few days at least," she says with a smile, starting to put the money away. Standing up, she accidentally bumps into Hunter and falls to the ground. After the initial shock of finding herself on the ground, the girl quickly apologizes, "I'm sorry I wasn't watching where I was going."
"No harm done," Hunter replies, reaching out and helping her to her feet..
"Thanks," she says.
"You're welcome." He smiles at her. "I''m Hunter I haven't seen you around here before."
"Hi." The girl smiles, giving a small wave. "I'm Sophia. I just flew in today."
"Hey Bro, what are we chopped liver." Blake says, nudging his brother's arm.
"Sorry Blake." Hunter steps back and motions to his friends. "Sophia, this is my brother Blake and my friends Cam, Tori, Shane, and Dustin," He says introducing her to his friends.
Sophia waved to them, but here eyes were only on Hunter.
