What I would do for AF Book 9

I don't know what Eoin's got planned for Book 8, but I know what I'd do for Book 9. Here is a synopsis.

And I don't own Artemis Fowl either, though I just might kill over and die from surprise if Eoin were to actually do this.

The Hybrid Concept

Artemis swore that he was done. No more Fairies, no more chasing after the Gold at the end of the Rainbow, no more Magic. It was time to grow up, be a man, and leave his life of childish greed behind. He needed to leave the People alone, forget about them, and move on. So when an announcement and invitation for him to attend the wedding of Trouble Kelp and Holly Short showed up, he shoved aside his feelings and ignored it.

It was probably his worst mistake.

Two days later, he gets a frantic call from Foaly. Holly Short is in a coma after being shot by a Human weapon, and Artemis is the prime suspect. Dragged back into the world of fantasy he was determined to leave behind, Artemis is going to need all his wits as a fugitive in the Lower Elements. Disguising himself as a Troll, trading fire with Goblin gangs, hiding in Dwarf tunnels, and even knocking out officers, Artemis avoids the LEP as they try to track his moves to apprehend him in order to uncover the identity of Holly's true attacker.

But most of all, he is wrestling with his own emotions. As much as he is doing this to clear his own name, he also knows it's because he still has feelings for his old friend, feelings he can't run from any longer. He knows he can fix it, but the options he has are limited and unfavorable, and could even prove to be deadly.

What he doesn't know is that there is another option, an option that, ironically enough, also holds the key to solving his latest misadventure: a secret file locked up in Section 8 labeled The Hybrid Concept.

Now, before you start shooting me, I'm not the one who said Artemis/Holly ships don't work. I am a fan of them. Eoin is the one who said it wouldn't work because they're different species and she's 70 years old yadda yadda yadda. Considering the fact that he has sometimes contradicted his own interviews with his books, I'm hoping it was just an attempt by him to through his readers off for a little bit. He says there probably won't be any pairings in Book 8 either, but again, one can still hope. This synopsis is based purely on what he's said about book 8 and the series so far, and was written for my own amusement.

So unless someone has Eoin's e-mail and sends this to him, I doubt it will ever get farther than this.
