As Bella walked into the slightly slanted, grey room, she feared most what she thought might be him. A tall dark figure glided across the room. She stood frozen, like an ice cube packed tightly on the shelf, until she found herself face to face with him. Clutching her scared heart, she dashed out the door stumbling with a step. He swung toward her like a baseball to the air. In an instant, he was standing in front of her (well more like floating). She looked up and used what little time she had to forget the bad memory and focus on herself now. Until he spoke, gentle words, no more than the hums of a whispering wind. But the words had a dark side to them. "I've got you now. Shh. Please, don't scream." (Yeah, real gentle huh.) She felt his breath blow upon her face, and then he triggered. Her, now ragged, hair flew in front of her face. She didn't even have time to scream. (That is until…..)

"Ahhhh!" Bella awoke with a sudden fright.

"What is it, another dream?" Edward asked solidly.

"Yes, but it's nothing. Sorry to wake you." She replied, huffing with her shortness of breath.

"Um… Bella, are you okay?"(Obviously Edward ain't gonna be asleep.)

"Oh…sorry Edward." Feeling light headed she laid on the bed and tried to forget the dream…and the memory of him. (Hehe, its Harry Potter. You-Know-Who)

"I was watching you sleep. It was peaceful, until your face got all crinkly like a dead dried up rat." Edward grimaced. She chuckled and kissed his forehead holding his head up as gently as she could, as if he were a thin sheet of glass paper. Just the low sound of his voice revived her happiness. Bella lay back with her arms flared out above her head. Edward poured over her. They kissed. Bella greedily put her hands at Edwards face (Jeeze Bella, good thing he don't have to breathe). One more, long kiss and Edward bailed out the window before Charlie came.

"Morning, Dad." Bella said politely.

"Oh…uh…morning," Charlie said, poking his head in the door and glancing around. "Guess I'll see you at breakfast then…?" he said in a half sentence, half question.

"Yeah, be down in a bit." And with that, Charlie shut the door and started off down toward the kitchen. Bella could hear his foot steps until he finally reached the bottom of the staircase.

When Bella was up and ready to go, she fled down the stairs to see that Charlie had already eaten. After swiping some eggs, orange juice, and a piece of toast from the kitchen table, she sat down on the sofa with Charlie. They chattered and watched a little television in between stories. They usually were pretty laid back on Saturday mornings.

Hi. I don't own this of course, and I like this first chapter (sort of…), it's simple. It's the first story I've written for here, so hope you like the others. Bunches of them coming soon. Oh and I suggest that if you haven't read the twilight series yet, then you need to grab a book and get goin'!
