A/N #1: Hello there! Yessir! Another SOA story for your viewing pleasure. This one, I wanted to do a little differently. Now… I have no clue about the other guys that were First 9, or who their family was, or when they died, or how their lifestyle was before or after, so I'll make up something up and wing it. Plus this will be taken place, after season 3, since I couldn't think of proper way to throw it into season 1 or 2… so this will have to do, with a bunch of twists and turns. But more importantly, remember that this story is totally AU. Hope you all enjoy this, like the others, and don't forget to R&R!

A/N #2: **UPDATE** Okay. I've decided to rewrite this one. I feel as if it's going too fast or whatever, so I'll tweak it a bit and hopefully make it better. I hope you all enjoy this and don't forget to R&R.

Disclaimer: I own NOTHING from Sons of Anarchy.. just my OC's. Thanks

...Chapter 1...

"Ha-ha! The old bat finally took the plunge." Alexandra James teased as she watched her grandmothers casket getting lowered into the ground to her final resting place.

"Alex.." her best friend, Olivia calling her by her nickname and smacked her arm. "We are at a funeral."

"Honestly, Livvie.. she should have been tossed straight to hell, but Granny's bingo buddies insisted she'd be buried next to Grandpa." Alex just shook her head. "It's just bullshit."

"Alex.." Olivia heavily sighed.

"Oh, come on.. you and I both know that this vile woman doesn't even deserve to be in the same vicinity as my awesome grandpa or even on the same planet as the rest of us."

"I know, I know." Olivia nodded. "Let's just get through this, then we'll go."

...

Ever since Alex was born, her parents: Owen James and Emma Whitney would leave her with her grandparents: Tom and Stella - while they went out to party, drink and/or do drugs - which happened every other week. When Alex turned seven, Emma and Owen eloped to Las Vegas and got married in the Chapel-O-Love and the next day, Emma went down town to change both hers and Alex's last name to James, since she hated hers.

As Alex got older, she loved hanging out with her grandpa. He showed her how to work on cars and his Harley and he even taught her how to shoot a gun to defend herself, plus he always told her stories about his other life - being a part of a motorcycle club called SAMCRO as one of the First 9 back in the day and that he was known as "Uncle Tom" over in Charming, California - stories he never told anyone outside of the club, not even Stella.

After Alex turned thirteen, her parents went out partying one night, took a huge amount of pain pills and drank alcohol, then went out for a drive. In the wee hours of the night, the cops came over to Tom and Stella's to break the news that Owen and Emma was killed in a car accident. Since Emma's parents were the next of kin, Alex had to be in their care, and she didn't mind at all, because she'd be near her grandpa - who was more like a father to her than anything.

Alex's 16th birthday was the worst day of her life. She came home from school to change into a different outfit, so she could go out and celebrate with her friends, when she was about to say goodbye, Stella was nowhere to be found and Tom had died in his sleep while taking a short nap. When the cops and ambulance got there, Alex was so hysterical, that the EMT's had to give her a sedative to calm her down. Stella didn't even come back to the house until later that night. The next day, the detectives came over to question her whereabouts and Tom's death, but to Alex, something about her story seemed.. off. Not only that, Stella hardly showed any emotion during the entire questioning.

Alex's gut was telling her that something wasn't right and to this day, she has reason to believe that Stella somehow killed her grandpa. Number 1: the fact that she didn't care that her husband just died and two: Alex saw her going through Tom's important papers - which had his life insurance policy that was well over 100 thousand dollars. Alex is no cop or detective, but she believes that all of it screams MOTIVE and she'd bet her entire life savings that Stella offed him for his money.

The only good thing about the whole messed up situation is that Stella would be gone every weekend. Friday through Monday morning with her flavor of the week and Alex took total advantage of staying home alone to study and being free from the evil witch, even if it was for a few days. She busted her ass and graduated a year early, but when Stella though that she was at school - during her senior year - she was actually working at a coffee shop on the other side of town, so she could save money and move out.

One weekend while Stella was away, Alex caught a lucky break. She had remembered something that her grandpa told her a long time ago and went snooping in the attic - where she found a tattered old shoe box hidden under the floor. Inside was Tom's updated will - that left Alex EVERYTHING. The day after she turned 18, she hired a lawyer to look over the will to make sure that it was legit and the proceeded with fulfilling Tom's wishes that he requested. Once Stella found out what was happening, she hit the roof, but Alex gave zero fucks about how the hag felt. Seeing the look on Stella's face after she lost everything was satisfying and priceless.

A few weeks after things calmed down, Alex was feeling a little generous and let Stella live in the house while she was staying in a condo by the coffee shop and far away from Stella.

It's been eight years since Alex has been around or even near Stella and now, she's burying her.

...

Alex tossed a handful of dirt on top of Stella's casket. "Peace out, you old hag." she muttered. "Until we meet again."

"Come on." Olivia pulled Alex's arm. "Let's go.. you have to make an appearance at the bingo place."

"Ooh, wee.. I can hardly contain myself." Alex rolled her eyes as both of them started walking. "I'm mainly going for the food, then we'll meet up with Zachary, Murph, Amy, and possibly Carter at Grandpa's house to go through Stella's shit."

"No Nick?"

"Nope." Alex shook her head. "He's being a jackass at the moment, but knowing him, he'll show up anyway."

"He always is.. good times." Olivia laughed, then both of them got into Alex's blue Jeep Liberty and took off from the cemetery.

...

Alex and Olivia stayed at the Bingo Palace visiting with Stella's friends and eating for almost an hour, then they left and went straight to the now - old house. "Wow.. I know I haven't been here in a long time, but I also don't remember it being this creepy." Olivia said, getting out of the jeep.

"Well." Alex shut her door. "The house is old and crusty.. just like Stella." she chuckled, grabbing Olivia's arm. "Let's get this shit done."

"Okay, Boss!" she laughed, giving Alex a half-ass salute, then they went inside and got started.

After an hour of searching, Alex noticed Olivia with a dusty old box in her hands and raised her eyebrow. "What's that?"

"This." she set it on the coffee table in front of Alex. "Was up high in one of the closets and very well hidden.. what's SAMCRO?"

"Well." Alex started, opening the lid. "From what Grandpa told me.. SAMCRO is Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original - which he was a part of. Everyone knew him as "Uncle Tom" and he was one of the First 9, joining with the 2 co-founders: John and Piney."

"Oh, okay.. that's cool."

Alex took out a stack of papers and folders. "Yeah, that charter is from Charming, California and they have charters in different states and countries."

"Oh, wow.. I wonder how many."

Alex found 9 sealed envelopes. "Damn, look at these.. they're thick."

Olivia raised her eyebrow. "Who are they for?"

"We got.." she read them out loud, one by one. "A Clay Morrow, Piney Winston, Tig Trager, Keith McGee, John Teller, Otto Delaney, Lenny the Pimp, and a Jax Teller." she paused, with her eyes slightly wide. "And this one is for me."

"You got one too? Why would it be in there and not with his will?"

Alex shrugged. "Maybe he left it for me because somehow he knew I'd find this box." suddenly, she pulled out a leather vest. "Check this out - his patches.. First 9, Men of Mayhem,Redwood, and Original."

"Ooh, wait.. what's this." Olivia pulled out a piece of paper sticking out of one of the front pockets and read it out loud. "If this cut isn't buried with me - which I'm sure it's not, if Stella had anything to do with it - then give it to John Teller or Clay Morrow. They'll know what to do." she glanced up at her best friend. "What are you going to do with this? Keep it?"

"No, no, let me think." she tapped her chin with her finger. "We should go on a road trip and follow through with Grandpa's wishes."

Olivia raised her eyebrow. "Yeah?"

Alex nodded. "But not a word to Nick or he'd throw a bitch fit.. and we'll see if Murph and Carter wants to go."

"That still cracks me up." Olivia laughed.

"Um." Alex looked confused. "What?"

"You calling Reese: Murph.. why is that?"

"Well." she sighed. "Coincidentally and unfortunately, "Reese" is Stella's middle name and when I found out Reese's last name was Murphy.. the "Murph" just stuck and she's totally okay with it, which is awesome for me, because I refuse to call her Reese."

"Alright, I get it now." Olivia nodded.

"So.." Alex closed the box and leaned back on the couch, then started playing on her cell phone. "We'll go and I'll take the whole box to Charming, then they can have at it."

"Sounds like a plan." Olivia agreed.

Ten minutes later, the front door opened up, followed by Zachary, Reese, Amy, and Nick walking inside. "Hey, guys." Alex said, without looking up from her phone.

"I saw everyone coming in." Nick said, sitting next to her. "What's going on?"

"Nothing much.. just going through Stella's shit. I mean, her funeral was today." she glanced at him with a "duh" look on her face.

"Oh, how'd that go?"

"It was eventful, Murph."

"Damn, there's nothing to eat in this place." Zachary called out from the kitchen.

"We'll get some Chinese or Taco Bell in after we're done here." Olivia suggested.

Alex put her phone away and looked up. "Where's Carter?"

"He couldn't get off work." Reese replied.

"Oh, okay." Alex sat up straight. "Well, I'm done with all this crap.. I'll just finish it later."

"We just got here."

Alex stared at Nick a moment before responding. "So? I don't want to be here longer than I have to." she stood up and grabbed the box. "I have what's important.. let's get out of here." then one by one, everyone walked outside to their cars.

"So, what's on the agenda for today.. besides getting some food?"

"Don't know, Murph." Alex shrugged. "But all of you should go ahead and get something to eat, there is a few calls I have to make when I get home."

"Who exactly do you have to call?" Nick demanded.

"A few people that used to know my grandpa.. damn!"

"Any of them guys?"

Alex looked at Nick incredulously, noticing the jealous tone. "Oh, my God! Really?" she opened the back of her trunk, and set the box in there, then shut it. "I don't have time for your bullshit right now." she glanced over at Olivia. "Go with Murph and clue her in on what's going on and clue in Carter.. then I'll text you girls later."

As she was getting into her jeep, she heard "Alex, wait."

"What, Nick?" she groaned, shutting the door.

"Where the hell are you going?"

"Away." she started up the engine and drove off.

Nick noticed Olivia glaring at him. "What?!"

"You're a fucking asshole." she laughed, then she got into Reese's car as Zachary and Amy went into his. All of them left Nick there on the sidewalk, feeling extremely pissed off and disrespected.

A/N#3: So, there it is. Some things different and some things are still there. Since I have some time on my hands, I'm gonna try and update more stories. Fingers crossed. Again, thanks for reading peeps.
