Home is where your heart is.

Beast Boy's eyes batted open to the soft touch of a feminine hand petting his head. He almost purred as he rested his head on her lap as she brushed his hair out of his face. "Who's Raven?" He heard the woman ask in a sweet tone.

"What?" He asked, confused as he sat up and rubbed his drowsy eyes.

"In your sleep, you kept mumbling, Raven."

He propped himself up on his hands and yawned, fully awakening. "Oh, um… she's just this girl." He mumbled, rubbing the back of his head. He tried to sound indifferent, but the tone of his voice gave him away.

Rita smirked. "Well she sounds pretty important. Is she the reason why you left?" He stared at his feet indifferently. "Garfield, you are always welcome here, no matter how much the guys tease you... but your home is back at the tower with your friends."

"I know." He sighed.

There was a pause, and then Rita smiled softly. "So which one is she?" She asked.

"What?" He asked, turning towards her.

"The empath or the alien?"

"Oh… um… empath." He said, a red blush tingeing across his cheeks as he looked back down at his feet.

"She's pretty."

He smiled, "I know."

"Want to tell me what happened?"

He let out a long sigh, "It used to be I would make her mad and she would forgive me the next day. But ever since we started…" He paused and Rita smirked knowingly as he awkwardly cleared his throat. "We started seeing each other... I don't upset her that often. But when I do, she stays mad for a while."

"And so you left?"

"Raven likes her space."

"It's been a week."

"Okay, so I'm kind of avoiding talking to her." He said sheepishly.

Rita stood. "Get dressed." She told him.

"What?"

"I'm taking you home."

He objected at first, but he had to admit, he had been away from home too long. He missed his friends...and… he missed her.

Rita watched as he walked up to the large steel doors of the tower. He was clearly nervous, and she was nervous for him. But before he could knock, the door opened to reveal the empath. She crossed her arms over her chest as he immediately started talking. And apparently whatever he said worked, for she suddenly wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace.

Rita couldn't help but smile as she watched the pair, "That's my boy."
