Chapter 1: Forgive and Forget

Fang POV-

Had he heard her correctly? His Maximum, telling him they were no longer together? After two frickin' days?! He had worked so hard to start this relationship. He was obsessed with her. He knew she had felt the same way, well, at least at first. But ever since Iggy got his sight back, she was all over him! He was furious, but also sad…

"Wha? Why? What did I do wrong?" I managed.

"It's…. It's not you….. It's me," She said just like any typical teenage girl would end a relationship, "Well, not even me, really. It's the flock." I take it back.

"The flock?" At this moment, my vocabulary was at it's lowest point in a long time.

"Yeah, I mean, Angel's whole mind-reading thing has been getting creepier lately, and we've been giving Gazzy WAAAAAYYY too much mexican food. It's all adding up to the weight on my shoulders. Plus, Iggy's still getting used to being able to see again….." She trailed off.

"So what are we going to do? Huh? Are we just gonna pretend nothing happened? There's no point, as you mentioned, with having a mind-reading six-year-old around and all. Neither of us can help thinking about it!" I snapped. Much less me, I thought.

"Well I can try!" And with that she flew back to the house.

Max POV-

What was his deal? I mean, yeah, we'd only been "dating" for two days but it's not like it actually mattered. Besides, I couldn't afford having half my brain filled with lovey-dovey Fang thoughts. I needed to focus on more important things, here, I made a list for you:

1- Saving world (In-freaking-evitable)

2- The flock

3-Iggy (Strictly business, I think)

19- Fang

Sorry, Fang, but I've got more important things to deal with right now. I nodded to myself as I dove down toward our safe house. I turned my head, wondering if he was heading back as well. He was somewhat farther back behind me. I looked ahead again, and tucked my wings in at just the right moment to dive into Nudge's bedroom window, the only one that they were nice enough to leave open for us.

"Hey, Max. Nice flight?" She said, smiling.

My jaw dropped open at what I saw. Which was: Nudge….. folding clothes.

"Heh, Nudge, sweetie, are you alright?" I said, instinctively placing my right palm against her forehead, checking for a fever.

"Yeah, I just felt like being more normal today, plus, I found out that this actually helps give you more space in our bags, instead of just shoving them in."

"Okay, I guess that makes sense," Phew, I thought she was getting hormonal or something!

I was proceeding to walk out of her room when Fang flew in. He, too, was a little freaked out when he saw what Nudge was doing, but dropped it when he saw that I was walking out.

"Hey, Nudge"

Instantly I knew he would regret ever saying a word.

"Hi! How was your flight? Did you have fun? Everybody is in the living room, and Iggy is making breakfast for dinner! He's having kind of a hard time, though, beause he's not used to actually seeing the ingredients, so I noticed, what he does is close his eyes and feels them…."

I quickly left to help Iggy, I've heard quite enough.
