Here's a short one piece to go with the aftermath of this weeks episode. I will be doing two more one shots to go with the episode over the next couple of days, and will also be posting the concluding chapter for Collective Wisdom. I hope you enjoy this one. Gregg.

"Booth."

"Booth."

"BOOTH!"

Booth about jumped out of his skin when he heard that last one. He'd been in a very rare, for him, deep sleep and now he was sitting up, eyes scanning the room looking for any and all possible dangers. His gun was in his hand, following the same pattern as his eyes.

"Put the gun down, Booth," Bones told him from where she was sitting on the bed.

"Bones?" he asked, trying to clear his eyes which were filled with sleep.

"I need your help," Bones replied, though there was some genuine hesitation in her voice, as if asking him was on pain of death or something.

"Anything," he said firmly, turning to face her. "You know that."

"You promise you won't say I told you so?" Bones glared at him firmly.

He raised his brow, but knew that if he didn't promise and live up to it his manhood would be on the line. "Sure," he told her.

Bones got a definite pout on her face and twisted her bare foot as much as she could towards him. "Can you get this sliver out of my foot?" she asked, a grimace of pain shooting through her offending appendage.

From outside the door of the apartment a man's deep laugh could be heard loud and clear, followed by a very loud, shrill "BOOTH! You PROMISED!" Needless to say Booth spent the rest of the night on the couch, sore back and all. And Bones? She woke him up the next morning showing off the bunny ear slippers he had suggested the night before.

A/N: I am trying to do some short pieces like this for some good humor, as well as a little OOC for one or more characters. I hope you enjoyed this effort. Gregg.
