Michiru sat by her bedroom window. Her tears rolled softly down her
checks as she watched Haruka pack her things into her car, her heart
shattering into a tiny million pieces. They scattered onto the floor
and the gleam of love and happiness faded as new emotions of hatred
and unhappiness slipped through.
And now, I know that I was wrong
You never really cared for me all along
And with you every dream I had
Was all it was, ain't that the fact
Haruka looked up at Michiru. Tears formed in her eyes. The lying and
the deceiving had hurt too much. She couldn't keep it up any longer
and Michiru just had to know the truth...she had to...
A tear rolled down Haruka's face.
'It was the right thing to too,' she reminded herself. Turning away
from the window Haruka let her tears flow freely. Jumping into the car
she started it up...why wasn't she moving anywhere? Why did all these
emotions keep her here?
Haruka backed out of the driveway and onto the road, all the time
keeping her face turned away from the house. The pain was too much
to take. Just seeing it reflected in Michiru's eyes made Haruka hate
herself even more.
**
Michiru watched the car disappear down the street. She felt empty
inside and numb. The words "I love you," just thrown away like dinner
on a plate. As the car disappeared into the distance Michiru's heart
stopped and she knew it was over.
So I hold my head deep in my hands
I'm lost at sea no sign of land
I never knew what love could cost
No-one could know how much I've lost
I can't go on now that you've gone
There's nothing left inside
I'll never understand why you had to lie
It's not enough to say you love
And then just say goodbye
I'll never break these chains
There's no where to hide
Why did you have to lie?
Haruka's tears fell heavily. The road in front of her was blurry.
Angry at herself she sped up making the car move at a horrendous
speed. Suddenly her hand slipped and the car turned into tree.
And now that every hope has gone
I've got to find the strength to carry on
Alone, much more than before
I've given everything, there's nothing more
Michiru breathed slowly, the image before her dissolved. The
world outside seemed distant and dream-like.
**
Smoke poured from the cars engine.
So I hold my head deep in my hands
I'm lost at sea no sign of land
I never knew what love could cost
No-one could know how much I've lost
I can't go on now that you've gone
There's nothing left inside
I'll never understand why you had to lie
It's not enough to say you love
And then just say goodbye
I'll never break these chains
There's no where to hide
Why did you have to lie?
The car blew as Michiru held her breath. She counted until she
could no more. The world felt oddly silent to them both. They couldn't
hear the screams of their loved ones. They didn't hear the funeral
speechs...they couldn't hear each other. It seemed too late for them
both. If only they had listened...
Why does it hurt so much when there's nothing I can do?
Why do I hate myself 'coz I can't stop loving you?
Now my life is empty
All I have is pain
I can't forget you
Why couldn't you have stayed?
As the car burned gentally, the crys of on lookers drowned out by
crackling and spitting of the fire and Michiru lay still beside the window.
The colour began fading from their cheeks, all memory lost of the argument.
All that was left was two young teenagers who risked their lifes to save
their love...and killed each other because of it.
Why did you have to lie?
