"So you kind of have to feel the muscle shift in your arm…", Korra explained as her short nappy hair blew in her breeze.

"Uh huh…", Mako said as he nodded.

"You're totally confused aren't you?", she asked.

"Hard to understand an element I can't exactly bend sweetie."

Korra sighed and rose up from her squating position in the middle of the air temple. Since Tenzin had taken his family on another one of his little vacations, Korra thought the spinning gates could use some spinning, and her and Mako some peace and quiet.

"I'm sorry, I thought you would find it cool anyways.", she said as her signature pout came out. Mako's lips twitched into a side grin as she walked forward with her cute expression.

"It is cool!", he assured her. "But it's like…I think airplanes are cool, but I don't understand everything about how they work."

"Yeah but air bending isn't complicated like an airplane!", she told.

"You of all the people shouldn't be saying that.", Mako chuckled.

"Ok so I couldn't bend it for a while but that was weird avatar chemistry chakra stuff's fault, not mine.", Korra explained.

Mako chuckled more as he recalled all the memories of fighting the equalists and how Korra would curse and smash Bolin's earth disks in practice, and how Mako would secretly laugh at it like a crushing school girl.

"What's so funny?", she asked, her expression growing as confused as Mako did before.

"You remember that day in practice when you smashed Bolin's toe?", he asked.

"Umm….when was this?", she asked back.

"Uh…right around when we first started dating."

All of a sudden, Korra got a glimmer in her eye.

"Ohhhh I remember.", she said with a wink.

"Huh?", he asked.

"After i smashed his toe we took him to the infirmary, the nurse asked us to leave the room," she reminded him. She stepped closer to Mako and wrapped her hands around his neck. "We went upstairs, and I asked if we were gonna keep training."

Mako remembered this story now.

"Yeah…you remember what I said?", he murmured as he gazed down at her. A devilish smile didn't hide on his lips.

"You said…we are. We're gonna train my favorite part of your body…", she husked.

"And you asked what part? And then-"

Korra pressed her lips to his quickly, cutting him off by surprise. His eyes closed and he pressed back into the chaste kiss, gently wrapping his arms around her waist. She pulled back slowly.

"And then you kissed me.", she whispered.

Mako chuckled quietly as he rubbed her back.

"We haven't trained in a while. You might be a little rusty.", he said.

"Or maybe I have a few things to train you in, Team Captain."
