Well, it's a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
Just once, Holly pleaded, before she would have to go back to Haven. There would never be another night like this.
Artemis eyed the weather outside. Rain was falling to the ground in a steady shower, pattering off the front steps. It was nearly pitch black, only slivers of moonlight visible, shining from the clouds in lucent beams. He complained that he was wearing a nice suit, and that it was rather cold, but Holly's persistent tugs led him out the door and into the rain.
There, Holly took one of Artemis's hands, and with the rain falling around them and the moon guiding them, they danced. Each step was graceful, and each movement as fluid as the water running down their bodies. They were no longer on the Earth or Haven or anywhere else. Their only sight the moonlight, the only sound the rain's beat, and only touch a caress of another's hand.
From Butler's room, he saw two indistinct figures swaying and dancing in the rain, their silhouettes illuminated by the moonlight. As Butler drew his curtains closed, the two figures leaned in and their lip's kissed as their feet carried them in a moondance.
the moon from over here looks quite beautiful, like a pearl suspended in the dark air
