Vlad hummed to himself as he brushed his teeth, today was his birthday, and he had decided to treat himself. First he would open all the letters and parcels that would have arrived from business partners and other people, then he would take a break from his computers and go to a spa and private restaurant about a hundred miles away from his Wisconsin castle. What a wonderful day.
He reached the bottom of the stairs, and noticed one parcel in particular in the pile by his door. It was about a foot high and two long, tied with a green ribbon. He picked it up and it moved in his hands. Eyes widening he undid the ribbon, as the knot came undone a head poked the top of the box open, a ghostly green glow illuminated his face. Quite suddenly a pale green blur launched itself at him and nestled in the pocket of his dressing gown. He pulled it out and looked at it dumbfoundedly. It was a ghostly kitten.
Looking back at the box he saw a folded piece of green card hanging from the ribbon, he opened it.
"Dear Fruitloop,
Happy Birthday.
We thought we'd give you something we knew you needed."
Vlad's eyes glowed as he crushed the note in a shaking fist, and the sound of his yell reverberated around the mansion. "AARGH!"
Miles away, in Amity Park, Tucker, Sam and Danny were crowded around a computer screen, laughing their heads off. "Man," Tucker wiped his eyes, "It was so worth it to put that camera in the mansion."
