The rain begins to fall again
It brings me to my knees
Dropping fast like bullets
I wish that time would freeze
Nights like these bring flashbacks
Events left in the past
And I know that I was foolish
To think nightmares wouldn't last
The water slips down the windows
As I gaze into the night
Thinking this shouldn't matter
Pretending to be alright
A hand on my shoulder behind me
Cigarette smoke so exact
Everything is so redundant
Each movement I can track
At first we sit in silence
Staring at the rain
You're smart enough to know by now
Nights like this end in pain
You mention something to me
But I haven't really heard
And I can tell you're speaking
But I can't make out the words
The reply is just more silence
And we continue to gaze
I smell nicotine around me
And it pulls me from the haze
You mention the night you found me
That I was going to die
But that you weren't going to let me
And then I start to cry
I should know by now you sense it
The rain always brings tears
You tell me it's ok now
And then you pull me near
To stay like this forever
Is the only thing I ask
But I could never tell you that
So I'll put up a mask
The rain begins to settle
And you stand up to go
Just once I want to ask you
But the words, they form too slow
So I give you a smile,
And see you out the door
Knowing when the storm comes back
You'll be here once more
A/N- I think that was my first poem for Hakkai and Gojyo...I haven't written anything about them for a while. Oh well, reviews are nice, thanks in advanced! ^ ^
