Mikan's POV

Maybe if I wasn't so dense I would realize this situation and compromise who I really was. But as time went on I finally understood why. Running through this place I enter a dead end. Blood had been spilled everywhere and I was nowhere near an exit. I took this fate and decided to end it.

I hear a voice calling me

"Mikan"

"Mikan, get out of here it's not safe."

I see a light and follow it as it leads me from the darkness to the entrance.

'I see a woman. I have a feeling I know her. She looks so familiar maybe she can tell me where I am.'

I walk towards her and she disappears.

RING RING!

Mikan woke up in a spare room covered in sweat.

"UGH! That freaking dream again. I wish it would just go away. It creeps the hell out of me. Hey Hotaru are you listening?" said Mikan as she walked to her best friend Hotaru's work desk.

"Mikan I'm very busy and I only gave you the key to my room for emergencies."

Mikan pouted, she hated it when Hotaru ignored her after all they had known each other their whole lives. Mikan had been placed in an orphanage at birth and had been taken in by Hotaru's neighbors the Sakura's. They were an old couple and rather than calling Mr. Sakura father she had called him grandfather. Mrs. Sakura had died a few years back and Mikan's grandfather had become distant. Hotaru had taken care of Mikan since the incident and in a way opened up to Mikan, even though she hardly showed it.

"Hotaru lets do something today. I'm dying of boredom."

"No"

"Please"

"No"

"Why not?"

"Because you are annoying"

"Hotaru you're so cruel"

Mikan stormed out of Hotaru's room. 'What kind of friend is she? Always helping me and then leaving me behind. I hate her! Ok, maybe I don't but she could try and be nicer.'

Mikan went home and tried to look at the photo album she hadn't seen in ages. In fact the last time she remembered seeing them was 3 years ago.

Hotaru's POV

'Has the time finally come?'

I looked out my window and saw Mikan storm into her house.

'I'm so sorry Mikan…'

I see her in the attic. Just as that woman predicted, Mikan is looking for her memories.

I turn back to my work, but can't help but wonder what will happen next…
