A/N: Okay. Here's to story number 3!

Disclaimer: Good Lord I hate these things. Really, I'm not Japanese? I'm not rich? Hmmm, I guess I don't own Kingdom Hearts. DUH!

Sora was lying in bed, back at home in Twilight Town, dreaming peacefully, when all of a sudden, he was having a horrible nightmare. He was running, his lungs were stinging, his spiky hair was being blown back by the speed of his leg-pumping sprint. There was one thing: he didn't know why he was running. Everything was black, except for a light somewhere in front of him. Having no reference point, the light could be twenty feet ahead, or twenty miles ahead. But Sora didn't care. It was light. It was his only way out of this pressing void. It was his only way home. If it took him three days of outrunning his unknown assailant to reach the pinprick of freedom, so be it. He would not be hindered. Or so he thought.

He was sure he was getting close when he recieved a mind-numbingly painful blow to the back of the head. He was sent sprawling to the floor. Except the floor was gone. The invisible surface he had just been running on was gone as soon as he recieved the clout. He was screaming now. He now saw a much closer light that he soon identified as fire. Just as he was about to plunge into the inferno, he awoke with a start and a yelp.

He soon recognized his room and its contents among the lingering thoughts of blackness and flames. As it turns out, the hit to the head was Roxas' dog, Max, and the plunge into the abyss was just Sora falling off of his bed.

"Ugh, ROXAS!" Sora screamed at his brother.

"WHAT?!" Was his brother's equally grumpy response.

"GET YOUR STUPID MUTT OUT OF MY ROOM!!"

"DON'T CALL MY DOG STUPID! YOU AND I BOTH KNOW I CAN BEAT YOU SENSELESS ANY TIME OF THE DAY!!"

"WHATEVER! YOU KNOW I CAN BUST YOU UP!!"

"OH YEAH?" Roxas challenged, climbing the stairs, deserting the T.V. for Sora's room.

"YEAH!" Was Sora's response.

"LET'S GO THEN!"

"FINE, BRING IT ON!"

The two boys bust out laughing when they got into ridiculously over-exaggerated boxing stances.

"Boys, breakfast is ready. Come and eat before it gets cold." Their mom called from downstairs, scents of bacon and eggs drifting up from the kitchen below. Roxas bolted from the room, in hot pursuit of his two favorite animals besides dogs: chickens and pigs. Sora was halfway up when he collapsed with a thud.

Sora saw in his mind a string of beautiful tropical islands covered in white sand being lapped at by waves of crystal-clear water, dotted with cozy-looking homes and palm trees.

As soon as it had come, the vision was gone.

"Honey, are you okay?" His mom called from the base of the stairs, sounding worried.

"Yeah, mom, just dropped my skateboard."

"Okay, well hurry then, your eggs are getting cold."

"Be right down."

Memory restoration at 17 percent.

A/N: Yep, he got caught. Again. Stick around to find out more. I'm planning on a chapter a week (yes, they will be longer). Reviews are welcome. Thanks.
