Castle got to the 12th early. He made sure it was earlier than Beckett, so he could put the big, bunch of lilies and sunflowers on her desk without her seeing who had done it.

He ducked into the break room and waited. When she walked towards her desk, she saw them. She kept her eyes on the bouquet as she put her coat on the back of her chair. She sat down and found a little, brown tag

Words can't describe how beautiful you are.

Butterflies fluttered in her stomach as a smile washed over her face. Castle stood in the break room, watching through the blinds, a smile on his face.

He walked over to her desk. "Hey."

"Hey, Castle."

He handed her a cup of coffee and sat down in his chair. "Somebody has an admirer." He nodded towards the flowers.

Becket rolled her eyes. "Or has the wrong Kate." She was always putting herself down.

"Who could ever forget you?"

Beckett started flipped through paperwork, ignoring his comment.

"Aren't you curious who they're from?"

"Well, yeah, Castle, but they didn't sign the card so I don't know."

He tried further. "Are you back together with an ex?"

Beckett snorted, shooting him a look. "No, I don't get back together with exes."

When she came back from lunch, there was a note on her chair.

Want to know who? Meet me at 9 o'clock in the break room.

"What's that?" Castle came up behind her, making her jump. He sat down smirking.

"Geez, Castle, you scared me." She put her hand over her heart.

"Well."

"He wants to meet in the break room tonight." She nodded towards the note.

"Are you going to meet this masked man?"

"I don't know." She sat down, putting the note to the side.

"Kate, for once, think with your heart and not with your brain. She was about to answer, her mouth half open, when Castle stood back up. "Just think about it."

"Where are you going?" She questioned him.

"I have plans." And with that, he turned and walked to the elevator.

It was 9:05, and Kate was standing in the break room. Everyone else had gone home to celebrate with their significant others. "This was a bad idea." She
whispered to herself. She was about to give up, when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around only to be met face to face with Castle. "Castle,
what are you doing here?"

"It's true." Was all he said.

"What's true? What are you talking about?"

"What I wrote in the note."

"It's you?" Her eyes lit up, making the connection.

"Yes. And I'm not going to lie, I've been in love with you for four years. And I think you might feel the same way."

Kate bit her lip, finally meeting his gaze. "I never loved Demming or Josh. I love you. I've just been too scared to tell you and let you in. I didn't know if you
felt the same way and if you would be embarrassed by me. You're so famous and different for me, I didn't think it would ever work. But I want it to." She was freaking out, finally finding the courage to tell him how she felt, now that she knew he felt the same.

She was talking so much that she didn't feel his hand push a lock of her hair behind her ear. But she did feel his soft lips on hers.
