A Smile
Summary: A hug. A wish for the return of life in someone's arms. A cower. A hilarious attempt to hide. A smile. A ray of hope in the darkness. Shinku x Jun, Suiseiseki Souseiseki TRIBUTE
Notes: New one-shot. Dub format. Shinku x Jun and Suiseiseki Souseiseki TRIBUTE (Emphasis on TRIBUTE). As it says in the summary above and on all pages that this story is featured.
...I don't like twincest.
Also, the romance: Shinku x Jun, the hurt/comfort: Suiseiseki and Souseiseki. There will also be part hurt in the first section, which is...ach, just guess. Oh, and remember.
...It's also mostly the twins.
Extra note: Sorry if you don't know who's who in the last bit. Even I had a bit of trouble with that. So if you're confused, I'll re-write that bit in the review reply with their names.
I could also write a sequel if you want.
A hug.
The boy cradled the still doll in his arms, holding her close to him. Tears fell from his eyes and onto her cold porcelain skin. Never again would he see her almost emotionless ice blue eyes. Never again would she criticize his tea. Never again would she slap him with her hair. Never again would she sternly tell him to behave in front of ladies. All the other dolls were gone, but she was all he cared about.
And now, he would never see her again.
A cower.
A joke gone too far. She cowered behind her. The two similar looking dolls looked up, one in fear, one in bored indifference, at the angry boy. While he ranted about a broken window, the younger of the twins cast a glance at her sister and rolled her eyes. The older twin just shrugged, and muttered something about not helping herself. Leading her sister away while the human boy continued to yell, the red/brunette looked down and thought with a smile that maybe it was meant to be. And if so...
...then she wouldn't change a thing.
A smile.
Darkness. A foggy memory. She couldn't remember anything. She took off her black hat and just looked at it. Something itched at the back of her mind, but she just couldn't remember. Sighing, she put it back on her head and leant back. If anything beside herself had been solid, she would've been lying back, looking up at something. Her eyes were empty, betraying no emotion. In fact, she had forgotten all emotions, and how to show them.
Something took her hand, and she turned her head suddenly to see someone float up beside her. She was surprised by the warmth in the other girl's eyes. There was also worry and sadness in them, in the green/red depths. The doll lifted her other hand to her cheek and brushed it, comforting. She whispered, "I told you we'd always be together," and tears sprung to the brunette's eyes. She didn't know why she was like that, but the sudden surge of emotion just brought tears to her own eyes.
She reached up and touched her damp cheek, surprised, curious and confused at the wetness. The other doll sniffed and brushed away the tears on her other cheek. She turned back to the doll and, surprisingly, smiled. The brunette smiled, tears still in her face.
"Souseiseki," she whispered. The name sounded familiar. Another name came to her mind, and she squeezed the doll's hand, which was still holding hers.
"Suiseiseki."
