"No," Alex said firmly.
Blunt blinked but nothing else showed his surprise. He calmly said, "I always get what I want,"
Alex didn't back down, "Sorry, but I don't care what you do with Jack's visa. Send me to an orphanage, fine. But I won't work for you,"
Minutes later, Alex found himself in a car being whisked off to who knows where. An orphanage, Alex supposed. He knew where Jack was – on a plane, off to America.
The place he arrived was called Wool's Orphanage. It was grey, bleak and foreboding, and Alex couldn't help but feel his shoulders slump the slightest, remembering what his old house was like.
"Well, boy, what are you staring at? Get in!" an awful looking woman yelled.
Alex later found out her name was Mrs Cole, and she was the most demonic woman alive. The children were constantly fighting, and looked up to Alex's Karate skills. All in all, Alex's life was not perfect, but he could exist.
Until, of course, that fateful day. The day when Alan Blunt decided to visit. And this time, he wasn't given a choice.
"The mission is simple, so why can't you do it?" Julia Rothman asked.
Alex took a deep breath, "Mrs Jones may have killed my father, but I never knew him. I do want to avenge him, but I'd rather avenge myself first,"
Julia raised her eyebrow, "Then who is it that you're willing to kill?"
"Alan Blunt,"
The mission was far simpler than Alex ever thought it could be. He dressed as a pizza delivery guy, and Scorpia helped him break into Alan Blunt's apartment (Alex was surprised Blunt didn't live in his office). From there, it had been a one shot kill.
Except it didn't work out that way. The bullet collided with a mirror, instead of Blunt's awfully grey face.
The next night, Alex found himself waking up to a grey room, full of pain and grogginess. He struggled to remember what happened.
Ah! I tried to kill Blunt. Bummer, it failed.
After a lengthy interrogation, during which Alex proved he had absolutely no loyalties to MI6 whatsoever, there was an explosion above. Scorpia, unlike MI6, wasn't going to abandon Alex.
Nile handed Alex a gun, just before he and Scorpia made their escape. This time, the bullet went through Blunt's head.
Sorry, it's so poorly written. It came up in my mind but I didn't know how to put it into words. Is the rating okay?
