A Mother's Sorrow

As the continued to pepper the glass it felt just like JJ's heart. Just like the rain peppering the glass both the window; and JJ's heart may look strong but it is slowly starting to show invisible cracks. As JJ continued to immerse herself in getting the rest of her paperwork done so she could go home to her family. "Family?" JJ thought to herself as she felt her whole body become stiff. That word alone was such a sensitive one in the Hotchner household since Andrew left. "Andrew" JJ thought sadly to herself ;as she felt the tears from her eyes threaten to fall.

As she looked at the family picture on her desk everyone was smiling ;including Andrew and JJ had her chin on top of his head. Memories both good and bad flooded JJ's mind; she missed Andrew terribly and wondered if he was alright wherever he is. Don't get JJ wrong she loved her husband Aaron and her two sons Jack and Henry; but she missed her youngest son Andrew most of all. JJ was brought out of her thoughts by a knock at her office door; tracing the sound to its source only to moments later lock eyes with Rossi. Who simply smiled at her sadly with sympathetic eyes JJ just smiled sadly in return; the whole team felt sorry for the hotchner clan after Andrew's mysterious disappearance. The same could also be said for the Reid family as well but that's another story within itself to be told at a later date.

After a few moments of silence Rossi walked over to JJ; and said " JJ just go home already you can finish your paperwork tomorrow. Go home to Aaron and the boys you can't concentrate on anything or anyone for that matter. Plus to boot you've been absolutely miserable all day." "I can't help it Rossi!" JJ said sadly then quietly added "I can't stop thinking about where or what's happening to Andrew!" "Neither can we JJ neither can we" Rossi said sadly. "Anyways why don't you go home for today and hopefully come back tomorrow with a clear mind." After a few moments JJ reluctantly agreed with Rossi as; she got her stuff ready to go home to her three remaining men in her life. But one thing was for sure JJ would stop at nothing to find her son; and wherever he maybe.
