BEDSIDE MANNER

WOW: nice. It's hard to know who finds Dean's hospital stay more traumatic.

Disclaimer: I don't own them. I'm not proud of this ...

Sitting quietly beside his brother's bed, Sam sighed; his weary eyes scanning the traction device holding his brother's broken leg in place.

He yawned, allowing his eyes to drift closed, as Dean's voice faded into white noise:

'the food sucks, this bed's lumpy, my leg aches, the sheets are scratchy, I'm too hot, my ass is numb, I'm too cold, the plaster itches, when can I come out, did I say I'm too hot, I need a pee, I'm thirsty, the coffee's bitter, I hate this place … '

Wouldn't it be nice if he could close his ears too.
