Ugh. Sometimes I didn't know what to do with that girl. Normally, I found out, from observing other couples around me, that when a boyfriend bought something for the girl, she would accept it. So I knew I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. But my Bella, my stubborn yet beautiful Bella, would insist I either spend no money on said gift, or get her nothing at all. Now, don't get me wrong, I love her more than anything. But she could be so, just, stubborn. She claims that me loving her is her favorite gift. Wow, is that backwards. I never would have even began thinking about how such a gentle, loving creature could ever love me, the 109 year old vampire. She claims that I'm perfect, a Greek god standing in front of her, but I beg to differ. She the other hand, is a living godess, which I had no right to reach for, but did anyway. Her wavy, aburn hair, which if she stood excactly right, you could still see a hint of red. Her eyes, which held a power over you, not like our power, but one all her own. If you looked long enough, they would capture you in thier choclatey, swirling, world of depth and beauty. Her lips, one fuller than the other, which see saw as a flaw, made her unique. Not to mention, the delectable taste of them, so amazingly divine, it brought a burn to my throat. But I ignored it, focusing on Bella. MY Bella. Her blush, so rosy, so indearing. She saw of it as an embarassment, seeing as how she did it so often. But I found it important. It being the one thing that could clue me in on Bella's inner workings. I could read every mind in the room EXCEPT hers. When we were first getting aquainted I found this fact very frustrating, never bieng able to truly know what she was thinking. She would tell me, but , in case you haven't noticed, Bella can't lie. So I could tell if she was leaving something out.

And it antagonized me to no end.

As I was just about to think about something further, the very object of my affections snapped me out of my reverie. "Edward? Edward? Are you okay? Did you hear me?"

I tried to clear my head. "I'm sorry, what?" "I said,'It is very pretty. Thank you.'" I stared in confusion. "What?" She blushed and sighed. " I like it Edward. Thank you." She had accepted it. She had accepted it. It was to good to be true. I was so happy I picked her up and spun her around. "Hahahahahah! I'm glad you like that I accepted it, it really was thoughtful of you." And with that she took the bracelet and fastened it, leaning over to kiss my cheek. She had finally let someone take care of her, show her that she mattered. And better yet, it was me. I couldn't help myself I had to lean in, and crush my lips to her's, for a slow, passionate kiss.

Acceptance is so much sweeter once you've tasted rejection.
