prompt: Rick: Don't you sometimes wonder if it's worth all this? I mean what you're fighting for. / Laszlo: You might as well question why we breathe. If we stop breathing, we'll die. If we stop fighting our enemies, the world will die. / Rick: Well, what of it? It'll be out of its misery. / Laszlo: You know how you sound, Mr. Blaine? no one to save ali from evil

Just a few sentences and her whole world crashes down.

She's not one for drama. She doesn't have time for that, she never had. But after the past year, all she wants is to be done with this. No more messages, no more feeling afraid all the time, no more missing bodies, no more schemes to find someone who's trying to make their lives miserable god knows why. She thought that was it. Find the missing piece, hand it to the police, and then it's done.

Oh, but it's never done. There's always something else after all her effort. They're always one step ahead.

And then it's enough and she can't be the brave one any longer. She hates to feel weak more than anything, but that's what she is, isn't it? A is proving that very easily.

When all she can do is cry her eyes out, that's what she does. Because she can't take it anymore. She just can't take it.
