Weapons.
Author note: set after Irri and Rakharo talk during ep 3, please be indulgent this is the first thing i write ever.
Jorah the Andal had left the tent to find something to eat for the khaleesi, leaving Rakharo to his thoughts.
Irri was so infuriating, he brooded.
Did she really have to argue with him in front of Jorah? It was so humiliating. Rakharo couldn't, for the life of him name one reason why he agreed to put up with her.
Yes, Irri really knew how to unnerve him, but she had been helpful a lot of times too. He'd grown up with her, and was generally quick to forgive her because of it.
Rakharo looked down at his arahk and thought of the day before its acquisition.
Irri was tending to his wound, the first one he had in battle. She was busy washing the cut, a look of concentration plastered on her face, careful never to look him in the eye.
Irri's eyes drifted to the arahk resting on the floor at her feet , most of the surface of the long curved lame was rusty , and had not been sharpened in weeks possibly. A jolt of annoyance surged trough her, she scowled at it.
Rakharo choose this moment to look at her and catching her expression sent her a questioning look.
She threw the wet cloth on the floor in frustration, picked up his sword and said:" No wonder you can't fight with weapons like these, they're all old and rusty"
Rakharo ripped the arahk from her grasp" this rusty and old weapon was my father's,"he shouted" A great bloodrider."
"And you want to be like him someday don't you?, Irri asked ,an expectant look on her face.
" Yes, and i will be" he answered proudly.
She takes a step towards him, taking his chin in hand, forcing him to look her in the eyes. "If you want to be as brave, strong and feared as your father was, you need the weapons of a great warrior."
With those words she left.
The next day Rakharo comes back from the market with a new shining arahk, he doesn't get as much as a bruise in the next few weeks.
Yes, Rakahro thinks Irri had helped him more than once and no matter how annoying she could be, he needed her.
