The signal is received

From the Galactic Federation

The small ship is flown

To its location

A meeting occurs

Led by Admiral Dane

Including four bounty hunters

Their mission: insane

To clear a computer virus

From several super computers

A shape shifter, an ice-wielder

A cyberneticist, a shooter

Deployed to Norion

After a space pirate attack

There's no retreating now

There's no going back

Heading for the planet

Is a Phazon asteroid

Something that the hunters

Must prepare to avoid

The base's defense systems

Are almost in reach

But so suddenly, so swiftly

The walls are breached

A figure so dark

Chilling down to the bone

A mere copy of Samus

Her own evil clone

Knocking three hunters out

And wounding the last

The villain had won

Using only one blast

The menace flees the base

After committing the crime

But the shields are activated

Just in time

The last hunter struggles

With a pain she can't withhold

And falls to the ground

Only to be knocked out cold

After one month's pass

She awakes quite disrupted

Altered by phazon

Condition: corrupted

Her life almost ended

It was lying on thin ice

But it will now be protected

By the Phazon Enhancement Device

The equipment is new

Known as a P-E-D

And allows her to harness

The Phazon energy

On their missions

The three others disappeared

Something that wasn't expected

But was highly feared

This bounty hunter

Now received a new quest

It would be challenging

And put her to the test

She was to find

Her missing allies

To see if they were dead

Or still alive

After heading to two planets

Elysia and Bryyo

She learned of new information

That was crucial to know

A threat was growing

At a rapid speed

Corrupting the planets

Caused by Leviathan Seeds

Orders are given

That she must obey

To destroy the seeds

It's the only way

On her long mission

She encounters her comrades

But something along the way

Must have gone bad

All three of her companions

Were acting strange

They were infected with Phazon

Which caused a major change

Each of them attacked

And acted so corrupt

Their actions were evil

And extremely abrupt

Forced to stop them

She fought each friend

She had to bring their crimes

To an end

She felt distraught

Upon witnessing their death

And felt a small feeling of regret

With every breath

She was now full of tension

Felling distressed and irate

For her counterpart

She felt nothing but hate

Continuing the mission

She stopped more assaults

Refusing herself

To think of her faults

Her journey was nearly over

As she arrived at planet Phaaze

The source of the Phazon

Would soon be ablaze

She destroyed only evil

As she explored

Finally headed

To the planet's core

She prepared to battle

She prepared for a fight

As the duel was upon her

Just within sight

Finding her opponent

The battle had begun

Both fighting hard

One on one

Almost identically experienced

The two were equally skilled

Until the moment came

When one was killed

The clone was destroyed

It was finally done for

Aurora Unit 313

Was also no more

Planet Phaaze was demolished

The hunter had won

Her long, perilous journey

Was now completed and done

Sorry for the weird spacing, I couldn't figure out how to double space between the stanzas (which are 4 lines each). Anyway, coming up with rhymes for this poem was not easy; the Metroid series really has a strange… vocabulary (species names and such) and because of that, the syllable count for the stanzas are all messed up so it's not as smooth as I would like it to be, but I tried.
