"Gaara."
Unneeded whispers. No one's around to hear them.
"You're black."
They died a long time ago. They both know, because they helped each other kill them. One by one, from adult to child. Friends and enemies alike. Naruto had cried. You're stupid. The other had said. And he was right. Crying got you nothing. But not crying didn't make you happy.
"We're both black humans."
Painful heat pressed itself against his neck as a kiss was placed there. Gaara's silent agreement. The kiss was unsure yet set. Determined yet startled. Naruto sat completely still against the other. One move and he feared the other would leave. The other was that fragile.
He was that fragile.
I'll stand on my tiptoes of a needle covered floor. Don't ever leave me.
"We were both born from unfortunate consequences and stem from evil forces."
Naruto moved with the other boy as he shifted against the sand. The wild sand, the sand Naruto was afraid to touch, Gaara's living sand. The wild dessert around them screamed along with the souls, the blood, devoured by the monster that is Gaara. Are you leaving me? I'm scared.
"And we bring nothing but ruin."
A smile. Eyes closed.
Wrapped in each others arms; so warm they're cold.
I love you even if you will never feel the same way about me.
"Exactly."
Author's Notes:
To make a one shot anywhere between 200 to 250 words only and with a gaa/naru pairing. Since it wasn't a organized challenge I changed it to a naru/gaa pairing. (That's street talk for 'I didn't read the fine print!'. wink) Word count is 226. I'm three-fourths asleep and have no idea what this is suppose to be.
