Chapter 1

Prologue

It was a small town, recently built twenty five years ago. The whole town was in smoke and flames. Many of the homes were in ruins and most of the population was in hiding. One of the still standing houses got crushed into splinters by a man that appeared to be made of darkness. Two beings were fighting the creature. The first was a plant humanoid with green eyes and a symbol on his chest shaped like an hourglass. The other creature was a fiery humanoid with volcanic rock for skin with the same symbol on his chest.

"You cannot win humans!" The shadow creature exclaimed. "You are helpless before the wrath of Darkios!"

"We won't know until we find out!" The plant humanoid said. He shot a blast of fire out of the holes in his hands. Darkios deftly dodged it.

"Hah!" He laughed. "You call yourself 'Swampfire!'"

The fire alien fired off multiple rounds of fire. Each hit Darkios with precision and pure accuracy. He cried out in pain. The fire seemed to burn deep into his skin making him bleed purple blood.

"You will suffer the full wrath of Hell for that, you miserable human!" Darkios cried.

"Omnitrix, set all available power to seal away Darkios deep beneath Peach Creek." Swampfire then transformed into a twelve year old human with black hair and brown eyes wearing colonial clothes.

"Omnitrix… uh, what he said." The fire alien transformed into a tall yellow skinned twelve year old human wearing colonial clothes. Both boys held their left wrists to reveal watches of unknown origin. Both watches began glowing with intense light. Each hourglass symbol shot out a beam of pure white light which hit Darkios, who screamed in pure horror. He began melting, seeping his way deep beneath the Earth. The townspeople came out and cheered. They were heroes.

OOO

At night, the two heroes dragged out huge metal pods. Placing them down, the two boys entered into the pods instructions not to return to Earth for another fifty years. The pods closed and blasted off into the night sky.

"Well, Ethan… It's up to another generation now." The black haired boy said.

"Yep." Ethan agreed. Ethan looked at his friend with concern. "What'll you do now, Alex?"

"My family wants us to move away to a safer location. My grandparents want to stay here though. I'll miss ya, Ethan." Alex hugged Ethan.

"I'll miss you too, Alex." Tears formed in both of their eyes. They both went home to pack their things, not knowing their descendants would soon meet.
