Hi again…as I said, here's a second M&D-piece…
Minsc & witch, in party.
-"Should we not proceed to our intended destination, rather than wasting everyone's time on this eendless bickering?" Dynaheir sighed, noteven bothering with her trademark , stern glare.
-"Indeed!" Jaheira agreed, blinking at her fellow spellcaster as what she had done connected.
Grumbling to herself, she let the mages argue their own points.
Khalid making yet another ineffectual attempt to calm his wife with regards to the two latest additions to their group, the "witch" looked after the withdrawing druid with slightl amused pity.
-"Boo says Jaheira does not like you.Minsc wonders why that is so?"
-"She feels he rleeasership threatened by a more suitable woman…as unneccesary as such a sentiment might seem. Half-elf, and druid…I do pity her. Truly."
-"…Boo thinks that is why." Her walking mountain commented, sounding as though he failed to see how that could be.
-"Minsc, " Dynaheir smiled sad amusement in her etyes as she looked up at his face;
-"When are you going to stop giveing that animal the credit you all too rightly deserve?"
Turning away, knowing that neirher his reply, nor her dismissal of it, would have to be acted out, she held out her hand toward him.
After a slight pause, she felt the little creature jump onto it, and started walking away from the others preparing the nights campsite a bit further down the road, muttering as if to herself, as she stroked the animal wth a casual finger;
-"Who are you to rob Minsc of all confidence in his own opinions, little one?"
Glancing down at the hamster, she once more got the slightly unsettling feeling that it tried to tell her something.
Lifting it to her shoulder, she mentally shook off the disturbing feeling, turning to find that Minsc had not moved from where she had left him.
Knowing full well his capabilities in the realm of destruction, she felt a fond gratitude toward him for still trusting her enough to be alone with his dearest companion.
A slight twitch at the corner of one eye her only outward sign, she was immensely saddened by her own uncertainty wether his trust in her now were what it always had been, or if it had just been replaced by a similarly strong feeling of duty, enforced by his head injury…
Thinking back to that disatrous day, she smiled encouragingly up at him as the hamster ran along her outstretched arm and onto his as she grasped it lightly;
-"Minsc, you do know that I always will be there for you…and Boo…don't you?"
Blinking in puzzlement, the large man pondered the question a moment, before figuring out what was wrong with it;
-"Is that not Minsc's promise?"
Chuckling lightly, Dynaheir let og of his arm, and turned to walk back towards the camp.
*Poor lug,* she thought, forcing herself not to consider her own mental meanderings too closely;
*the very idea of my leaving is foreign to him…*
As it should be, no? (
I have lately, as of writing these documents, from which the Attic-posts are but a copy of, been considering the Rasheman sorceress(?) in a whole new light…(which probably is to say, that I for once have paid attention to what's being said about her, and what little I remember of her…)Once again,…or rather, for the first time, and probably last, as I will not post here again until I got some new material…(that resupply of "pure BG2" takes FOREVER to arrive at Avalon…)
…anyway, I'd like to make a request for the existence of tales focusing on these two…BG1-stories, preferably, though a tale or two from an "alternative"BG2-storyline would not be WHOLLY unappreciated… :-D
