Birth By Sleep

The boy stood on the platform, staring down at the pure white that singed his golden eyes, yet all he could see was darkness. His eyes blank, only with the melted color of honey gold, the boy stood there and looked around. "Where am I?" He asked, even though he could not tell or see anything. He waved his hand in front of his face, with a frown. Looking up into the sky, and then around he noticed that nothing was there. He felt no wind against his face, he felt nothing but a creeping feeling purge upon him. He took two steps forward and almost fell, hiding his fear, he fell backwards swinging his arms. Falling against the pure white platform, his sight soon came back, he noticed that the other side of the platform was gone. Broken into two, the twin part of it was gone, nowhere in sight. The boy frowned, this wasn't what he was really expecting, yet he heard a voice.

To find…is to lose.

He looked around frantically, seeing nobody except the darkness around him. He realized, that in this place all there is..darkness. The boy stood to his feet, shaking his fiery red hair, trying to see if this place was all just a fantasy. But no matter how hard he shook his head, he noticed that this world was no fantasy. It was pure darkness, and only he and the pure white platform stood against it. The boy was so confused, as he moved backwards again, and the voice rang out.

To lose…is to find.

He heard a crying voice, it seemed as if it was a child. He looked around frantically, maybe that child was the voice, and was just trying to distract him. He looked frantically, trying to find the lost child but he saw nothing. His breathing was starting to get shallow, as the dark shadows began to come to the platform. He started to back up, knowing if he did he would fall off. But he did anyway, and the voice had once again returned to taunt him.

To lose her…is to find you.

What did that mean? He was so confused, and yet he had to run. He turned on his heel, and started to run even though he did, it was like he never reached the end.

To find her…is to lose you.

He bit down on his lip, and clenched his fists looking into the air. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!" He said, and then noticed a form starting to come before him. The form was small, and soon took place of a child with cotton candy pink hair, and golden eyes, her hair was in pigtails. She was wearing a Lolita dress and was crying, rubbing her eyes and holding onto a teddy bear. "Mama…Papa" She whimpered while crying, and looked up at him, and he stared down at her.

To be one with her…you must face all the challenges.

They stared at one another, and soon a voice broke through the silence. "Amu!" and the child squealed and ran towards the voice. The boy reached his hand out to grab her, before she disappeared, yet the moment she stepped off the platform she was gone. His eyes widened, as he began to fall forward, into the immense darkness. He closed his eyes tightly, trying to figure out why this was happening to him.

Don't worry…you are protected.

He let out a throaty scream, but noticed that his voice was not heard. He closed his eyes and kept falling, hoping something would swallow him. "I DON'T UNDERSTAND!" and then everything went white.

Because you hold…the most important weapon of all…
