summary: they meet up again at a deserted bar, it's july fourth and there are fireworks/legends are terrible with names and faces/loganxsteve
They meet in a bar.
(actually, there is no reality in which this doesn't happen)
There is laughter, glory and shots for all; a bar in the middle of nowhere with a television on the local newstation and muted volume, a bitter barkeep and a stranger with his cigar, and the party. The fireworks outside sound like gunfire. The man with the gold hair pulls away from his group and steps up to the bar, places an order. He turns to the stranger and smiles.
"Happy Independance Day."
The stranger wears an old face, tilts his head and frowns. His mouth twists as he tries to match a face to a name. (fails)
"I remember you." the golden man says slowly, also frowning.
The stranger shrugs, reaches for his hat and throws down a couple of bills.
"I get that alot."
(before: "keep your head down," an exasperated growl. "independance don't make you bullet proof")
