Draco's POV- the Yule Ball

A blonde haired boy starred out of the huge arched window. He watched as the snow fell silently from the silvery sky. He turned to gaze at his trunk; his dress robes lay messy on top. Why did this have to happen while he was at Hogwarts? Every fifty bloody years and it had to be when he was there, typical. What was worse was he had to take stupid, clingy Pansy Parkinson.

A clock chime echoed through the corridors and he realised it was time to get ready, he was already late and he didn't need a lecture from Snape about being late to make his life even more crap right now.

He started to slowly get changed into his crumpled black dress robes.

'The sooner this over the better' he thought to himself as he hurriedly buttoned his shirt.

A small but loud knocking was heard as he was trying desperately to flatten down his crumpled shirt.

"Yes, come in" he shouted "Or not" he added with a whisper.

"Oh Draco you look...well there's no words to describe you your so utterly amazingly gorgeous" Pansy blushed.

Draco couldn't help but hate her annoying high pitched voice. This was just one of many annoying habits that this childish girl had. What she was currently wearing somehow made her more annoying than usual.

Her sickly pink, frilly dress hung off her like a sack. Draco scowled at her failed attempt to impress him.

He sighed and slipped his hand through his hair and then put it on Pansy's shoulder.

"Don't talk. Just no, no talking. Ok." He didn't wait for an answer as he slammed the oak door on as he strutted out of the door. If he had to endure this pain, he was going to do it Draco style.

Everyone was scurrying around like rats impatiently waiting to go into the hall.

'How pathetic' he thought, as he saw Ron Weasley arm in arm with one of the twins.

Pansy's arm lock turned into an iron grip as she whispered,

"Oh my God, she looks...beautiful" she gaped in half disgust half amazement.

Draco's head shot round. His eyes widened as he caught sight of Hermione Granger elegantly making her way down the stairs. He also noticed Harry and Ron also starring in amazement at her. The pale pastel pink dress flowed down past her knees and her light brown hair was curled to perfection as she smiled at the gawping people that were starring at her from the bottom of the staircase.

He had never noticed how pretty she was. He just found her as equally if not more annoying than Pansy.

A sharp nudge dug into his side as Pansy gave me a warning look.

"Do you think she's prettier than me Draco?" She asked a hint of sadness in her voice.

"I said no talking" Draco snapped at her.
