The Thu'um Dragon Slayer
(A/N: A response to a Skyrim/Fairy Tail challenge)
Summary: When the Dragonborn opened the Elder Scroll to gaze into the past to learn the ancient shout created by the Tongues to defeat Alduin all those centuries ago, something happened. A ripple in the flow of time twisted the Time-Wound and in Paarthurnax's attempts to save the Dovahkiin from it he himself was sucked in and awoke in a strange new land filled with strange new magic.
Chapter 1: The Transition
Paarthurnax watched ever patiently as the Dovahkiin approached the Tiid-Ahraan, the Time-Wound, with the Kel, Elder Scroll, in hand. He could not help but feel proud of the petite Wood Elf in her light Thieves' Guild armor, a Nightengale Bow slung on her back and the Akiviri katana Dragonsbane on her hip. The young but wise Bosmer worked hard for what she has and soon she would have the ultimate weapon against his arrogant and tyrannical elder brother Alduin.
Farah Kilrarah slowly opened the Kel and gazed into the shard of creation. Strange symbols and constellations glowed on the shimmering "parchment" and for a moment her eyesight when blurry and dark. The Tiid-Ahraan tour open for a second time.
But something was amiss Paarthurnax realized. He could see it from very subtle things, flecks of snow from both the ground and air would slowly drift toward the tear, as if drawn to it, and by the second more and more snow, and even small rocks began to fly toward it. And with a shocking realization the Old One knew what was happening.
"Niid, Dovahkiin!" he roared worriedly making the little elf jump, he leapt toward her and moved himself between her and the tear, using one of his massive, tattered wings tattered wings to brush her away, causing her to fall flat on her ass.
And the very instant butt met snow, the Tiid-Ahraan split apart, yawning into a gaping chasm big enough to swallow the oldest dragon on Nirn. Paarthurnax dug his claws into the earth, rock and snow of the Throat of the World, desperately trying to cling to this world. But the long he held on, the stronger the tear tried to pull him in.
And in the end, the Tiid-Ahraan won. With a roar Paarthurnax lost his grip on the earth and was pulled into the tear and the moment he was fully in it the Tiid-Ahraan snapped shut like a hungry beast.
"Paarthurnax!" Farah cried out in anguish, knowing she'd never see the grandfatherly Dov again.
(Earthland year X?)
After an unknown amount of time Paarthurnax awoke with a start and immidiatly he knew he was not in Mundus anymore. He could feel it in the magic that flowed around him. Where ever he was, the magic here was strong, far stronger than in Mundus.
His old bones creaked as he rose to his feet and he gave the air a tentative sniff before he soared into the air and flew in a random direction. Determined to find out where he was.

(A/N: Very short chapter but I thought this was a good place to stop. This is a response to deathshade37's Fairy Tail/Skyrim challenge.)
