Ashley Crowther
Australian Army Corps
Ashley,
How is Jim? I understand that Europe is a big place, but you must have seen him sometime, after all there's only certain places that Australian people can be, right? He hasn't replied to any of my letters, so I thought that I might write this to you and if you see him to give him the other letter that is enclosed in this envelope as well as the photos that I have put in of the new immigrants,
How are you Ashley? I have realised that we have never made an attempt to get to know each other before and I want that to change. I'm still taking photos on your sanctuary, except it has become my sanctuary as well. My sanctuary used to be my dark room, it's a dark, silent place when all you can hear is the dripping of drying photography paper and the outside world has no effect on it. But I feel our Sanctuary is at risk Ashley, I feel the winds of change, the war over there is having a large effect over here and it's all that anyone can talk about!
The world is changing out there Ashley, places that were once innocent are quickly maturing and the world is an overfilled bucket on ledge that at any moment could fall and spill everywhere. The birds continue to come so I can continue to photograph them and play for Jim and your safe returns.
Thanks,
Imogen Harcourt
